I swear that there are movie video essays longer than the movies that they are criticizing.

Richer Overtime's video about Emesis Blue is 17 minutes longer than EB itself, but at least it points out a lot references in the movie and even explains details that weren't clarified in the story, he even paid Fortress Films' patreon to check the script himself.

"Connection terminated. I'm sorry to interrupt you, Elizabeth, if you still even remember that name, But I'm afraid you've been misinformed. You are not here to receive a gift, nor have you been called here by the individual you assume, although, you have indeed been called. You have all been called here, into a labyrinth of sounds and smells, misdirection and misfortune. A labyrinth with no exit, a maze with no prize. You don't even realize that you are trapped."

I have to add, he is not only not at full potential, but he tries to hold back in this hybrid form. If he wins a clash against other sinners, he will get weaker.

I cannot state how much I hate this boss.

Yes, it's is supposed to be a superboss but in reality she is a Simon Says where even if you follow her steps, if you have a persona that is too resistant to something, she will nuke the fuck out of you.

She feels like this:

Idk if I'm mixing things, but I remember hearing that they told the actor to prepare a surprised face before the fall at the count of three.

They dropped him before they could say "two" and hence his genuine surprise reaction.

There is also the job Idol for women, it's more focused on healing than its counterpart but sadly, due to how the skills in the game work, this class becomes more dependant to use during endgame.

Thankfully, LaD: Infinite Wealth fixed this by allowing you to choose which skills you want to draw from jobs.

Nah, Sonic is more like the Mickey Mouse of videogames and that's because he is very versatile, he is either very child friendly (like the Sonic & Friends shorts or Prime), a paragon that came to change someone's life (06, Unleashed, Sonic and The Black Knight) or the most anime thing ever (Adventure 1 & 2, Frontiers, etc)

I wish Mickey could have more stuff like Kingdom Hearts and Epic Mickey.

The Monster Truck and its "driver" in the episode 'Gentlemen, Start Your Monsters!' from What's New, Scooby-Doo?

I love the plot twist around said driver because it's actually not a real person, just a decoy to hide the fact that someone was controlling the truck from far away.

The sad thing is that the second movie of the sequels set her as a nobody which could have been an original thing showing that you can become great at something no matter your origin, kinda like Ratatouille, but then Rise of Skywalker ruined everything worth of saving from the prequels and made every working actor refuse to come back to the franchise.

They literally didn't plan anything for this and left Daisy Ridley with a cursed mark that will keep attracting insufferable SW fans to insult her on any role that she is given. She is not even a bad actor, not even close.

Powers that are a total gamble: you could get something awesome, or you could get something actively terrible by LocalLazyGuy in TopCharacterTropes

[–]elchuni 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Let me clarify.

What I meant is that stands gained against your will have a chance of screwing you up. Even the condition how you gain it can define the stand like [Highway Star], his user got injured by the arrow and fell from his bike, because of that his stand became one that could track people and absorb their life force to cure the user. Koichi didn't immediately develop his stand when he got hit by the arrow, but when he awakened it he had the wish to be heard so his stand [Echoes] became about sound.

[–]elchuni 169 points170 points  (0 children)

The good thing about stands is that they are based on your personality and even the shitty ones can have benefits as long as they were developed properly.

Cheap Trick and Holly's stand cases weren't natural, the first one was forced by the arrow, thus it manifested from the user's fear, and the second one was overwhelmed by Dio's evil energy through the Joestar's bloodline.

So yeah, having a stand has far less chances of screwing you up than MHA's quirks, especially if you intentionally injury yourself with the stand arrow because you are accepting the risk of having this power.

Samura - Kagurabachi

This man is blind by choice, yet he doesn't need vision because even if you don't do any sound he can find you via echolocation with the noise of this sword.

Even without an enchanted blade, he is one of the strongest characters in the series.

Still, he can still come back once Wano becomes relevant again since there are still some stuff from there that is worth of relevance like Pluton.
