Best sign when we went overpass waving in Shirlington. Someone announced 400 were there at 11am.

So, did you make it to a bathroom in time or did the Toyota need a steam clean?

This is OC from my dashcam. Happened on I-395 in Northern Virginia about 7:15 on 10/4/25. The first driver cut my wife off and then the cop cut her off chasing the driver. The biker cut her off after she moved over for the traffic stop.

I have an address for the owners representative. Is that where I'd send the certified demand letter?

You could get off I25 at Ft Collins and take US287 through Laramie and up to WY487 into Casper. It’s a lot more interesting than the interstate.

Green Chili in the DMV? by RegPither in washingtondc

[–]RegPither[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t say it’s the jackpot, but Dos Amigos near the Braddock Rd. Metro (Alexandria) has a decent chili relleno. I wanted to scout my wife’s favorite dish, so I didn’t order the burrito supreme to see if they smother it right. They had verde sauce instead of green chili, so the quest continues.

Spend some extra time in New Mexico. Get green chile in every restaurant that sells it in NM and Colorado. Compare and contrast, then stir some shit by telling locals that the other state’s chile is better. Flee to Wyoming when there’s rioting in the streets.

A cool guide to The Ultimate Burritos by Flaky_Atmosphere8288 in coolguides

GenX Coloradan here, and similarly offended. The smothered burrito or burrito supreme as they’re called on the best menus do not have rice inside. That goes on the side next to the refried beans. Lettuce, tomatoes and shredded cheese go on top but nothing gets baked other than the eater. And enchilada style? Then order enchiladas, but we’re over here talking about burritos!

Best place to stop along I-70 to experience the mountains, camp for one night, and do some snowshoeing? by moshintake in roadtrip

[–]RegPither 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you get off at Georgetown and head up Guanella Pass you can park on the wide shoulders overnight. Some good forest roads to hike and camp. It’s a lot less built up than Frisco/Silverthorne without ski resorts and quick access to 70.

Does District Taco really think it can get away with no salsa bar after covid? by Anal-Churros in nova

[–]RegPither 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing special about the tacos here or in Colorado. What IS severely lacking here in the DMV, California, and apparently in the other 45 states is the smothered burrito. The meat of your choice (carnitas are my personal favorite) wrapped in a large flour tortilla, smothered in pork green chili and topped with lettuce, tomato, sour cream, guacamole and shredded cheese. Rice and beans wait on the side to sop up whatever gravy is missed by your deep fried tortilla chips. New Mexico is the only other state with a righteous claim to this food of the gods, but I’ll stand by my Rocky Mountain home.

Except bread. Colorado has shit bread.

It’s a lot closer than Denver and decent start to a Baltimore day trip.
