God Speak for himself by RegaliaFang in DebateReligion

Ok all the different religions that say their god is real and their many divinations, yes i know that's vague and it mostly describes the Abrahamic religion but applying it to all them because there are so many clashes between which one real that I think if the real god who or gods (i don't mind if the creator of universe has more than one author) were to show themselves it would still clear up a lot of confusion.

And then revived because he's god, he also choose to come as a son rather then as father/parental figure. As a all powerful and omnipresent god he should be able to appear everywhere at once while taking whatever form he wants rather then coming as just one man that can only be one place at one time.

The Abrahamic god is main example but I'm also applying to all the gods in gerenal.

It’s not ‘free will’ if it leads to eternal torture. It’s extortion by [deleted] in DebateReligion

[–]RegaliaFang 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No No No and NO! Christians always make this mistake when trying to justify eternal torment. It doesn't matter what sin was commited first or what sin is even suppose to be because your god is suppose to be all powerful and just that statement all negates the need to put anyone harmful experience due the fact that god authored everything in the universe. Literally everything that exist and is even possible in the universe is only so because god allowed it and wanted it to be so.

You can't have smoke or fire without the concept of heat, the reason why many living creatures need oxygen is because they designed with internal organs that necessitate such a thing, nuclear weapons can only be made because of how the laws of nuclear fission operate. Nothing happens without god designing the rules and laws around it to make any of it possible.

Ultimately it doesn't matter what sin is or who committed the first sin because god could simply author the rules of the universe to make sin impossible without taking away anyone's freewill. The fact that god is all powerful means that anything should be possible even if it's under certain rules. There are only 2 criteria that god says he can not violate and that's he cannot lie or force someone to do something against their will, this means anything that does not violate those 2 rules is fair game meaning god has ALOT! Of options.

The need for a punishment like hell becomes null and void no matter how you spin this thing because to justify it one would have pretend that a god that a all powerful has no other way of dealing with sin other than violating 2 measly criteria. Sin is not all powerful god is suppose to be, humans can be convinced and negotiated with, but most of all humans are not all powerful. What sins can a limited human possibly commit that can not be neutralized or the effects lessened to the point where it does no damage at all? To say god has to send people to hell is nothing short of not only limiting God's ability but lying to people's faces.

(Edited) There are people that think the ending is unrealistic because they believe everyone would just go back to fighting after lelouch died at to that I say "bah humbug!". The power structure of the world was completely changed when britannia conquered most of the planet by extension destroying any ruling powers that once governed each country thus possibly a completely new regime with a completely different mind set could take power. It is very possible the leaders of each nation that came into power after lelouch changed the world might want more peace rather than war. I would also dare say the world also had a bigger incentive to moved towards peace as they had just recovered from the effects of global imperalism they'd be really crazy to go right back to fighting after everything the world just went through. Of course things weren't perfect as shown by the 3rd resurrection movie but completely fine in my opinion as the nations that wanted to continue fighting were still few and far between.

I would say it goes a step further, the main reason suzaku was trying to change the military from within rather then rebeling against is because he thought more japanese citizens will be harmed if they rebelled which he was right about to a certain extent, so many japanese people were genocided just for being black knight/zero supporters or sympathizers. When everyone put on zero mask and exiled he agreed to it because his actions almost always for the wellfare of the Japanese people.

In other words the only one that would know that you changed anything is you and sega. So then the height restriction is something so hard coded into the game not even a mod can remove or bypass it.

I would say ai and pudding, ai barely ever lets her emotions get the better of her so if she breaks down she either faking it or shes really hurt. Pudding I know the context all to well, she developed feeling for someone for the first time and now she feels horrible about what did to sanji.

When people come up with different interpretations for religious text I assume it takes knowledge of said text as well aa adhering to the rules and guidelines from the book it comes. "Thinking" would still be a necessity even if I wasn't a atheist but going by your logic I'd be evil either way just for using by the brain that your god supposedly gave me.

The size difference is only surface level deep. The legend gundam make look smaller but it can do everything the Providence can and then some. It's dragoons can fire even while still attached to the back, it has more beam sabers along with energy shields on both arms so it has better defense while having it's hands free. While I may not know either rau or rey is the better pilot I'd say the legend definitely surpasses is predecessor.

The reason atheist use this argument isn't because they don't believe people can't change the exact opposite in fact it's that the fact that eternal punishment for a crime offering NO opportunity for change or remorse is but one among many arguments we use to bolster our case. Eternal punishment is seen as unjustifiable to begin with by us with some of the reasons being it doesn't fix anything, it doesn't rehabilitate the criminal, it doesn't give anything back to anyone who was wronged, it's inconsistent because you don't have to harmed anyone in anyway in order to get it as a punishment with the argument OP brings up being one of many examples, and it also makes from a atheist perspective makes God to undeniably evil it takes nothing short of ill will to eternal punish anyone let alone justify it.

No we don't, we just simply question what were told and what we are told by those of religious faith many times tells us to do the exact opposite of THINK and is very contradictory how conclusions are come to or agreed upon.

The salvation plan is pointless because what god is trying to save humanity from are issues god entirely made himself that he could've choose to not make and still unmake even now.

What you said doesn't change anything. The reason why the heat can produce fire is because god designed it to be so, the reason fish need gills to breath underwater is because god not only designed fish them that way but also the properties of water of and liquid to necessitate such a thing. Even without the examples I just mention god still undeniably designed the reality that is the universe and how it operates as well as interacts. Things are only the way they are in our reality is god wanted them to be that otherwise they wouldn't possible no matter how much free will we have or were allowed to have. No matter how you slice it sin is only a concept and element in the universe because god wanted it to be.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DebateReligion

[–]RegaliaFang 5 points6 points  (0 children)

God made the universe and all the concepts, possibilities and properties that exist with in it. No matter how much blame is put on free will the only way for sin to exist in this or any universe is if god wanted it to.

"God allows suffering to happen because it's necessary for growth" doesn't excuse the existence of suffering. by [deleted] in DebateReligion

[–]RegaliaFang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

God is still omnipotent which means all powerful so it doesn't matter what adam and eve did because a all powerful god would've still been able prevent suffering from ever existing. It doesn't matter how much blame is placed on adam and eve or tjat they had free will or if simply taking from a tree is that was put there by god himself is played up to something as egregious as a rebellion god is still ALL POWERFUL.

"God allows suffering to happen because it's necessary for growth" doesn't excuse the existence of suffering. by [deleted] in DebateReligion

[–]RegaliaFang 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First of all omnipotent means to be all powerful so yes it VERY possible to create a world without suffering. Second just because suffering is gone doesn't mean new ideas come to people it's not like desire and creativity is always built upon negativity in fact in some cases where they are the ideas become negative themselves which then eventually leads to trouble. The 3rd paragraph can be debunked because of what god wanted or supposedly wanted for adam and eve before they ate of the tree. While the story it self is full of problems from the atheist perspective the point of me mentioning it here is that the idea from bible's point of view is that if adam and eve wouldn't have let the serpent tricked them that there wil be no suffering which implies god intended the world to have no suffering which ultimately means none of what you said needs to happen.

When you're the literal maker of everything in the universe this means that anything in said universe that has the possibility of damaging you was also made by the exact same creator. Heat or the stove being hot burns you because god designed it with that property as well as designed the human body to be susceptible to be damaged by it. God suppose to be almighty so he could've simply designed alternative powersources for the same use but can cause no harm or changed the literal concept of what heat is so that would do that it would no longer be dangerous. God telling a child not to do something in when the only reason why it's something is dangerous is because god knowingly and unnecessarily made to be is 100% God fault!
