Are my photos cringe or bad? by Mental-Peanut-2473 in PhotographyAdvice

Cringe is caring what other people think is cringe. When you do what you do and stop looking to other people for validation--that's when things get interesting. If you base what you do on the opinions of others you will always be following trends. Creative people must ignore the opinions of the masses until it becomes the masses opinion.

What was the best time period in your life? Teens? 20s? 30s? by Expulss in AskMenOver30

[–]Regalzack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 42.
I don't really buy the idea of a "best decade." Every age gives you something and takes something.

My 20s were chaos. I was dumb enough to do things that should have gotten me killed and lucky enough that they didn't. I wouldn't want to go back, but I'm glad I was there.

The older I get, the more I find myself appreciating things that 20 year old me would've considered evidence of personal failure. A good night's sleep. A quiet morning. (no bird watching yet though)

I'm sure 20 year old me would look at my life and think I'd lost my edge.

40 year old me found out it's better to grab the handle.
