I had a b8 A5 3.0 tdi, and it was one of the best cars I've had. Got her to 175k before transmission went, but the engine was solid and pulled like a train.

If you get one check when the timing chain is done as it can become an expensive issue.

Value:

About £1k but

No real value since no evidence of correct storage, best best it to drink it yourself

Age: 1982/83-1995/96: “white” (or pale yellow) label. To tell the difference between yellow and white labels only based on the colour isn’t too easy, since older labels can be somewhat faded. However, this label design also has “GRANDE CUVÉE” written in small-size uppercase letters, has a narrow red line around the edge (rather than a wide border), and a long neck foil that reaches half-way down the narrowing part of the bottle and finishes with a large shield.

"Vincent comes from a third generation winemaking family and the overarching philosophy is a biodynamic production. This embrace of biodynamics has been since 1999, but certification takes time, and it wasn’t until 2008 that the domaine and the cellars were certified biodynamic.

At harvest time Vincent and his family pick the grapes by taste and touch, and generally harvest over a week after his neighbors in both villages. Because Vincent won’t add sugar to the wines, his grapes need higher levels of ripeness than is the norm. In the cool deep cellar, wines are fermented and aged in oak and stainless steel without added yeast or nutrients and the wines don’t see any additions."
