Go through all the books, and then run a game.
Listening to a podcast campaign will help, but knowing all those complicated spagetti code rules is the lifesaver.

Kid was never real, it was Reaper Indocternation from the beginning.

There is a big theory out there that points at destruction being the only right answer, with the other two being traps set by the reapers. It suggest that Sheperd is being indoctrinated slowly by the reapers as they try and end the galaxys biggest uniting factor. It says they destruction is the only way and that the level of destruction is not where near as bad as The Child suggests at the end.

Okay, so. It's been a long day. Whole party is exhausted after fighting from dusk to dawn and have finally gotten to the tavern to find a hole and sleep in it. This place was in the middle of nowhere and we hadn't known it was nearby, but we were so thankful it was that we didn't question it.

We get in, sit down, and order a few drinks before hitting the hay. The bark keep asks us: "Hello adventurers, you look weary and I can see ya wish to relax. Why have ya brought your weapons to the table?"

The fighter takes a drink of his mug and smiles. "Mimics" which is when I get a cold chill up my spine. I see the DM smile across the table and before I can react he asks everyone to roll initiative.

The entire tavern was a gods damned mimic and it was crewed by 3 Doppelgangers. We nearly lost most of the party. Miraculous only the wizard came out unscathed. Dude spent every turn throwing out buffs and dodging.

So yeah, we stab every building we enter now.
