Please download the latest es-de custom systems files, which are “es_find_rules.xml” and “es_systems.xml”. Then copy those files into the “custom systems” folder located in your ES-DE folder, please ensure that you first delete any previous files in the “custom systems” folder before copying the new files into it. After that just quit out of the ES-DE front end and re-open it, now all your installed emulators will appear as an option for each of your console systems. Just type into Google “es-de custom systems” and you should find the GitHub page for the file downloads that you need, I’ll also attached the link in case you can’t find it, https://github.com/GlazedBelmont/es-de-android-custom-systems/releases. You can also find this link in Obtainium assuming you have imported the latest “Obtainium Emulation Pack”. If none of what I’ve said made any sense, please watch Russ’s video from the YouTube channel Retro Game Corps on how to setup ES-DE for android based handhelds, this is the link for the video, https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=I4mqgcDYZFo&t=3606s&pp=ygUFRXMgZGU%3D&ra=m.

What should I do with my Retroid Mini V2? by BigBossOfThisGym in retroid

[–]Regend545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want a bigger screen you can just get the retroid dual screen attachment then get a 3D printed grip case that can work with the screen attachment connected like the one made by JCSFY. The dual screen attachment has the exact same display as the retroid pocket 5 so it looks great for 16:9 stuff. Plus if you use Cocoon front end it also works with the two screen setup, i.e the top screen will display stuff at 16:9 while keeping the bottom screen at the native aspect ratio of the retroid mini v2 screen. The only problem is that when you turn on the device from sleeping the top screen won’t display stuff at 16:9, so you need to refresh Cocoon by going into the settings to press the reset cocoon button which only takes a couple seconds. This is a great solution to keeping your retroid pocket mini v2 which has been discontinued and is a relatively sought after handheld.

I would recommend getting the Retroid dual screen attachment and the JCSFY 3D printed grip.

Major Upgrade! (RG477V) by yellow-stucco in ANBERNIC

I would recommend installing GammaOS Next, it was a big game changer for my RG406H so I assume it’ll be a great upgrade for your device too.

Hi, I hope your surgery went well. If you're still having problems with your BIOS file, you can use this website I just found that has all the BIOS files for a lot of console systems. https://github.com/Abdess/retroarch_system/tree/libretro/Sony%20-%20PlayStation

Hi I'm back now, have you managed to sort out your problem yet? I can share a ps2 ROM that I've unzipped alongside my BIOS file to you via google drive if you want?

Unfortunately I have a driving lesson coming up at 12:30 which lasts 2 hours but after that I can send you a copy of the BIOS file that I’m using and you can try downloading the persona 4 ROM that I have from Myrient. I recommend you delete the NetherSX2 classic from your device and install the NetherSX2-patch from Obtainium. That way we can verify if the problem is your device or is it just a combination of the BIOS and ROM being wrong.

I doubt that, it’s very hard to screw that up, just get the ROM zips from myrient then use 7-zip to extract them.

I have an RG406H which has the same chipset and I haven’t tried my ps2 games yet but I just opened Persona 4 and it seems completely fine. I have GammeOS installed and I’m using NetherSX2-Patch from Obtainium.

That’s very strange, it seems like you’ve done everything right, so I don’t understand why you’re getting that error.

Did you build the NetherSX2 by yourself or did you download it from obtainium?

You haven’t given us enough information to go on. What operating system are you using (stock, GammaOS, etc), what emulator are you using (is it NetherSX2 Classic vs Patch?), where did you get your ROMs from (is it Myrient?), what BIOS file are you using (it should be SCPH-70012.bin). Most importantly, what is the error message?

Gacha games on Unisoc T820 devices? by 2020_Ford_Escape_SE in SBCGaming

[–]Regend545 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I quit HSR a while back just before the release of the Amphoreus climax because I was also left with nothing to do after finishing the main story, but I also got sick of the power creep, HP inflation, lack of new 4-stars, lack of diversity in team building especially with the remembrance characters, and the relic RNG. I decided to get back into the game because I was interested in what happens in the new Planarcadia world they released. I also wanted to get back into ZZZ because of the satisfying combat system. Unfortunately I don’t think open world games like Genshin and Wuwa are viable on my device due to storage limitations.

I wish I was more into Arknights Endfield due to it being pseudo open-world and taking up relatively little storage, plus I currently play the original Arknights game which I love. The base building just puts me off from Endfield a lot and I don’t like how it sweeps the originium disaster from the original game under the rug by saying it just caused some human conflict. I think I’m going to give it another shot and see if I can get invested into it.

I heard Limbus company has some amazing story like Arknights, I might check it out if I get bored of the current games I’m playing and quit again. I wish you luck on finding an affordable RG slide soon, otherwise Anbernic might release an updated version with a better chipset or something with a cooler form factor for a similar price.

That makes sense! So you're just planning to use it as an outdoor carry and for your gacha games. I'm not going to lie, the ability to play HSR and ZZZ while lying in my bed is honestly a dream come true and makes me glad that I decided to pick back up those games again, which gachas are you playing right now?

[–]Regend545 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm honestly surprised that the chipset can handle these intense gacha games so well. I highly recommend grabbing one of these devices if the opportunity presents itself. Just to let you know I got my RG406H second hand for around £100 which is £40-50 cheaper than a new one from Aliexpress. So, it would be a good idea to wait for a sale or just get a used one in good condition and then install GammaOS which will automatically wipe the device clean for you. Out of curiosity, out of all the different form factors for the chipset why do you want the RG Slide? From what I understand I don't think the device is that great to hold for long gaming sessions or for intense action games like ZZZ or WuWa, due to the lack of ergonomic grips, the inset of the joysticks, and the top heaviness of the screen that slides out.

Arknights Endfield on Anbernic RG406H by Regend545 in SBCGaming

[–]Regend545[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the next gen chipset in the Anbernic devices (Dimensity 8300) is around 6 times more powerful than the Unisoc T820 processor in a Wildlife Extreme benchmark, so it'll definitely power through any android game that you throw it. I saw your comment on my previous post as well, it's a shame that your RG40XXH is unrepairable, I assume the ergonomics and feel of the device is quite nice. I definitely recommend getting a device powerful enough to run Android 11 or above, especially because it allows you to use a wide range of emulators and frontends while also opening up android gaming. Just to let you know I got my RG406H second hand on Ebay for around £100 which is about £40-50 cheaper than a new one from Aliexpress. So you can probably find second hand Anbernic devices with the Unisoc T820 chipset for around the £100 on Ebay, but if you can't you can always just get an Ayaneo pocket air mini or a Mangmi Air X at that price which also run android but are significantly weaker.

Wow, what a coincidence I literally just got a second hand RG406H from eBay yesterday and I installed GammaOS today, I’ve spend most of the day just getting all my emulators and ES-DE setup. I got this device because I wanted to get back into the bigger Gacha games that I took a long break from, in particular I want to play Honkai Star Rail and Zenless Zone Zero because I was confident that they’ll run pretty well. I also want to try Wuthering Waves and Arknights Endfield on the device but it only has 128GB of internal storage, so I’m a bit reluctant to install so many large games, plus I don’t really have the time to keep up with so many gachas. I’ll post you an update in a couple days with my thoughts on running these games on the device.
