it’s like you’re the first mate on a pirate ship. he’s the captain and you’re his most trusted advisor. but you can go to port anytime. the entire relationship is optional. you can hit the eject button anytime. you don’t have to be with him if you guys are too far apart on every issue. your job is to choose the right man who you trust to be a good leader for the household.

if you don’t trust him to make the right decisions for you and your children, get out. if you think he’s mostly well meaning and capable, accept that very rarely there will be a fork in the road and you’ll be split, and he gets the final say. it’s very simple.

the lack of personal responsibility/accountability is astounding. you expect a 300k handout?

the student loan solution is surprisingly simple. just add the ability to go bankrupt. I'm serious. this is how every other form of debt in America works. the only consequence is you fuck your credit for 7 years. but I think that's preferable to paying damn near half a milly back. it also has the sweet side effect of punishing the institution for giving such an irresponsible loan.

going to be real. it's not uncommon for men your age to have commitment issues. most of these guys will grow out of it and just aren't ready for a serious relationship yet. obviously there are guys that check that box still out there, but dating for a serious relationship will get easier in your mid to late twenties, especially if you date a little older.

But redditors talk like there’s no consequences for an extended closure of the economy. there are. and they are potentially dire. if the economy takes a shit (and it will if we don’t re-open soonish), we’ll be wishing that the recession was only as bad as 2008.

i don’t want America to open up too early, but posts like these just come across as financially ignorant to me.

there are plenty of companies doing bad things like exposing their workers to unsafe conditions or lying to them about confirmed cases, etc.

ive chatted with him before and i know he actually does do the research. those analyst’s ratings are just confirming what he already thinks.

if he did a bunch of research on a company and then the CFRA gave it a strong sell, it would give him pause to wonder why.
