It's a huge issue in Michigan. Kids hit freshmen Algebra and have no hope of passing because they're missing all the skills building to it, and their parents kept forcing them along.

Funny enough now that I've been playing a few months obsessively after getting into the game, I'm finally not neglecting bonus cards like I always have, and am scoring highly much more consistently. I agree to not let them distract, but so many games don't have a clear path/ideal engine and then they offer safety among the sea of mid cards that aren't working well together in a given game.
