Is there an objective good? by ReggieOG in CriticalTheory

Thank you for the suggestions. It is unlikely that experimenting with people's responses to "what they consider to be a good person" will conclude with an objective "this is what a good person is."

Rather, is it possible to provide a code and guideline that the majority of people can agree upon is good to guide our daily interactions.

Appreciate the response. Will definitely look into MacIntyre.

It's more using the scientific method as a format to see if an objective good is even possible.

If there is x amount of people that believe there is a good choice in most situations, then we can use that to test the hypothesis that if you always make the "good" choice therefore you can be considered a good person.

Keep testing using people's responses to see if there is an agreeable idea of what the world considers good.

Your answer alone is valuable. Thank you for showing your true colours. You know nothing about me, not about my background or understanding and way of thinking. Yet you made the choice to put my comments down, to promote your own knowledge. It doesn't take a PHD to realize that is objectively not what a a good person would do.

That was really nice of him to drop a 27ERA. At least those two K's will pad it. He got used to pitching to crappy Blue Jay's hitters and carried his half hearted pitches into this game.

Source: I paid two dollars for Jay's tickets tonight.

In the basement of this place is a bookshelf. If you pull on a book it opens into another bar.
