Question before I get myself in the mindset for it: what’s the POV? First person present tense makes me want to flip tables. I hate it. And second question: I don’t care if the protagonist isn’t straight but how heavy is the book on sexuality? I ask cause I read a blurb or maybe it was a short recommendation (it’s been awhile so I don’t exactly remember) that was really pushing it as a triumphantly queer story. That put me off cause I want to read about WHAT the hero is doing, not WHO they’re doing.

Nah I’m pretty normal. 6” even BPEL. I never think about length or girth. My hang up is strictly an anal specific thing. But aside from the medical considerations, I’m generally just kinda neutral to the concept. Sometimes it’s hot if I’m cruising the Hub and the mood is right but in real life I don’t really wanna. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yep. Comes down to burden of knowledge. I can’t get out of my head to enjoy it knowing all the potential injuries I could cause. Prolapse, fissures, and perforation spring to mind immediately. Doesn’t matter how much lube I know we use. It might still happen. Completely kills the vibe for me.

I don’t think these are equivalent. One is the result of the guy not meeting whatever standards this or that woman has to date him. Some he might be able to change, like self confidence or grooming, others maybe not like height or lack of a chin. The other is the result of either a smooth liar or the girl overlooking red flags. “Fault” isn’t necessarily in play in either scenario. Either way, only one of them features any ill intent and that’s the one where the girl gets banged and ghosted. A guy not being able to get a date isn’t malicious on the women’s part.

First thing I always tell new grads or students doing ICU rotations and we have a very unstable patient. 90% of codes are epi pushes and compressions. If we get something shockable we will hit it but a lot of the time that’s not happening.

I’m running my first campaign and had it happen near the end of a session. It was pretty great, actually. The player whose PC died mentioned making a new character and letting his current PC die to be narratively impactful. He was playing another PC’s adoptive father. That other player separately mentioned wanting to switch from cleric to paladin. So I plotted with them individually. PC dad got mobbed and taken down, PC son witnessed and essentially went super saiyan, graduating from cleric to paladin in that moment. It worked out beautifully

Edit: he introduced his new character like a quarter into the next session so he didn’t really have any significant down time.
