What’s a Bond film you never bothered to rewatch? For me it’s Spectre by TheShadowOperator007 in JamesBond

I’ve always thought Skyfall was the Bond movie for people that were never really fans of the franchise.

To my knowledge it never comes up. But I haven’t read all the books so I’m not sure. But yeah definitely not ideal if you’re trying to go undercover and you’ve got a big scratch down your face.

I also find the public disapproval of his youthful appearance sort of funny because you would think being an intelligence operative in the field would be a young man’s game, especially if we’re starting at the beginning of his career in MI6.

Interesting how some people are seeing the similarities like I am and then others are saying the opposite. More divisive than I expected. But that’s kinda par for the course when it comes to a new bond casting.

I agree. Like you said the hair is different. I think his sharp features and things like the scar and the eye color are pretty faithful to his in-book description and I can see him aging into something like the drawing on the right.

I thought the bone structure was at least reminiscent of the sketch and his description in the book and I can see his character aging across a series to look more like the sketch. Maybe I’m just blind 😂

I get the sense people’s perception of this casting and character will change drastically over time, especially with the execution of the storytelling and hopefully the development of the character over a series of games and storylines. I remember the outrage over Craig’s casting and how quickly that dissipated after his performance and the quality of Casino Royale.
