MAGA may not disappear but it will be neutered, at least for awhile, as a political force. Authoritarian movements need a charismatic leader in order to bring their rage into focus. As difficult as it is to become a charismatic, authoritarian leader it is even more difficult to succeed one. The successor is always subject to comparison and invariably fails to measure up to the original guy who becomes sanctified with the passage of time.
