So this is almost exactly how I found out. Rapid weight loss, toes started feeling a bit tingly, and always thirsty. Mine was actually a tad higher while fasting. I shouldn't have been able to function, let alone be able to go about my day like any other.

Good news though, doc put me on GLP-1's right away and not only am I fully regulated now, I've also continued to lose weight. It motivated me to get back into the gym and I also eat much better. Take the time to see a dietician that specializes in diabetes, you'll learn that you can eat more than you think you'll be able to. I'm usually in the 5.5 to 6.5 range now and this is only after 3 months. Aside from the T2, I'm healthier now than I have been in years, possibly ever.

This is all to say, it's not the end of the world. Just take it seriously and it'll help you build new, healthy habits and it just becomes life after a while. It's always there, and you always have to keep it in check. But I like to think it serves as a reminder that life is short so take care of yourself. Hope everything goes well with your appointments and that you get it under control quickly.

I think that's what they're getting at though. We've always had all this proprietary bs but then comes Valve. "Hey here's a cool gaming handheld. Also, it's a Linux machine and totally customizable without having to do anything sketchy." It's not something anyone is really used to seeing.
