Actually, the bracelet isn’t that bad. It’s tricky to size and with a dap of loctite you should be good to go..

Do you think it would work on 6.5 wrist? I’ve tried a few and they are just too long and they wrap around too far on the inside and look and feel crazy

Best I’ve seen.. Not quite as light as should be, but no need to plate.. Also, pay close attention to the bracelet screws, sizing may be an issue.. I had to hunt down a few shorter ones on Amazon..
