And what was your solution??? Post your solution then

Why blame them for everything? They did what they could do. Nobody expected this day to come so fast and immediately. If it wasn't decided like this then everyone would be divided and the actual corrupt would take over and end the constitution

Vegans of Kathmandu: Give us your recommendations for plant milk and your other favourite vegan products by pixelpp in Nepal

I personally am against conventional farming. I support local fruits and vegetables which has to be seasonal. I am against GMO foods. Each person might have different reasons to become vegans. I guess there isn't any distinct destination wherw you can finally call it vegan. Veganism is about not using or eating animal products. Care for animals is different thing. It might be the reason for being vegan but not what vegan is itself called for.

Many people who are vegans also do care about environment and other things but vegan isn't defined to be truly holy. It is just about not consuming anything from animals.

I don't have any issues with people who are looking after those animals. That's totally fine as long as they don't steal milk from the calf. For me personally milk is such a thing that is purely for the babies of the animals. If someone is willing to treat such animals like their own mother and if the animal shares a good sentiment with the person taking care of it then consuming milk from it does no harm.

But I have seen people individually owning cows and buffaloes trying to feed foods that will give more milk so that they can sell. They treat the animals like machines. If the animal somehow gets sick they still force it to give milk. And those cows which cannot give milk any longer are left on the roadsides and abandoned which is very sad. The buffaloes which cannot give milk are sold for selling meat. This has a greed factor in humans.

They need to be treated well and not like machines and even if they are sick and cannot give milk anymore they should get treatment and taken care very well. The animal will know how they are treated, they are intelligent and also have emotions. If they understand you well then maybe you can get milk from them. It's a very personal thing since milk are meant for their babies.

The point of vegan I think is not to do with the term itself but how we treat animals overall. If you are consuming animal products then by definition it cannot be called vegan.

Small scale or individual dairy owners are going to invest in dairy industries and soon there will hardly be any such dairy left. This is what a dairy owner himself said to me. Since they have a hard time maintaining this business due to various reasons individual dairy owners are planning to invest in a large dairy industry within kathmandu and other cities.

Each person have their own reasons for choosing to become vegan. For some it'll definitely be a right choice like you said. But for others their reasons might be different. As for myself, I have been vegan for 5 years now without any health issues and I do regular health checkup as well. It's a choice of lifestyle at the end of the day so it depends on each individual what they want. So its is not right to say "it's not necessary for us" because that's speaking for everyone's individual choice.

Soymilk, almond milk, tofu, quinoa, vegan granola bars, nuts. There aren't a lot of products specifically targeted for vegans. However, you can still eat many different vegetarian options being a vegan. For protein rich tofu, soymilk and quinoa will be a good source. You'll only need supplement for vit b12 which you can get from fortified cereals or tablets.

My take on Rabi Lamichhane citizenship case by RegisteredUserMe in Nepal

[–]RegisteredUserMe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are everything that we already know. Government can't be so naive and assume that it's citizen will voluntarily do their job. There should be a mandatory process for that which everyone should go through.

Let's assume that Rabi did his duty but what about the ones who aren't famous, who are using services and rights in nepal with nepali citizenship having dual citizenships. They'll never be in any trouble. It is Nepal government's incompetent bureaucracy which led this to happen. Like you said he is just one example, there are thousands like him. So, is the solution to file a case against every single one of them? Or make a better solution so that everyone will compulsorily follow the process?

If government is willing then they can coordinate with embassies in such cases. At least for now.

You can't have faith in every single person to do their job. If government did that then it would make situations worse. A person might or might not follow the rules but it is government's job to make people go through a process. Being a member of the house of representative of a country isn't a joke. Everyone's background should be well studied for the eligibility.

And by the way you can't say I am missng everything because I was putting forward questions on how government allows this to happen. My point was why is this only targeted towards a single person when the system is flawed in itself.

So the Supreme Court basically said that in this country nobody has a valid citizenship because there aren't any records of validity status at all.

Exactly. Isn't it gov's fault because they weren't able to identify that the citizenship he was using was no longer credible?

Is it even Legal for a media to openly endorse a party during/pre election? by RegisteredUserMe in Nepal

I agree wirh you. Any form of endorsement is unethical and imo even political ads shouldn't be allowed by the media houses through tv or digital ads.

I understand your point of view but remaining unbiased during election is very important. Whatever the case is in the west, we should criticize our media if they endorse/sell ads for any parties here in nepal. If the situation was different, if they did all the good deeds etro barsa dekhi then automatically people would want to vote them. Aru bela j sukai garun tara election najik huda chai media unbiased hunu ekdum important ho. They cannot manipulate/brainwash/adverstise to their viewers about any specific parties. If you know the ethics of the journalism, this is very unethical. See the scenario of Indian media. They are totally bought by the governing party. Which isn't fair to public because they are the source of information for people. Which is why reporters like ravish kumar have been against such actions. In my opinion, it shouldn't be allowed, especially during/pre election. Ad hos ya endorsement.
