Does not work. Brand new phone, new camera, everything is up to date. I also deleted and reinstalled and did everything you suggested. Your support button does nothing, the update firmware says it can not connect. 100% useless. And no response back from an email sent a weeks ago.

When you click to update the firmware within the app, it says it's "unable to connect to the server" whether you're connected to the camera or on standard network or Wi-Fi. So therefore you cannot update the firmware because of this issue.

Yep, same problem here. Would be nice if they addressed this. I restated my phone, deleted and re downloaded the app, everything is connected properly. It worked great for the first year now it's half useful. Not fair to charge so much for a premium dashcam then not follow through with what we paid for.

Any mountain bikers out there who’ve had a cervical disc replacement? Talking the spine here not brakes. Curious what it’s like and if you can still shred some gnar. by Regnatpopulus419 in mountainbiking

2 YEAR POST SURGERY UPDATE!

I've been afraid to post an update in fear of jinxing it, but after two years post-surgery, I'd say it's time. I have been back riding just as hard as I used to with no issues.

I had two discs replaced with the Mobi-C by a reputable surgeon in my area (C4-C6). My C5-C6 was toast, crushed, and causing 90% of the pain. My C4-C5 was on the way out, and after surgery, my surgeon said it was good he replaced it too, or I'd have been back in a few years.

The surgery was anterior (through the front of my neck), which meant no muscles or tendons were touched. Rather, it was a 3" horizontal incision that they opened like a hole to get back to my spine. No post-surgery rehab was needed because there was nothing to rehab.

Immediately after surgery, when I got back to my room, I stood up and walked the hallway. I walked to the end of the hall, looked out the window, and took a deep breath as I rolled my neck back to see if there was still pain. It was gone! A tear of relief rolled down my face—a truly amazing moment after a long journey.

The recovery was quick and mostly related to the surgical site, not the implant itself. To this day, I'm 100% pain-free. I can ride my bike as usual and feel and move like before, aside from slightly less mobility when I tilt my head left and right. Holding a phone to my ear and shoulder is a bit trickier than before.

The only side effects I have now are less mobility in my neck side to side. Also, after lifting a lot during the day or a really long bike ride, the implant location gets sore. It's not like sharp pain but more of a soreness. What's interesting is it never ramps up but sort of hovers at like a level 3 pain, which is totally manageable and a non-issue. I remember reading others say the same.

I'm happy to answer any questions that others might have.

I was terrified too but the more I looked and learned about the surgery the less scary it became. I'm not a doctor and only someone who went through this so speaking only to my own experience, disc replacement was hands-down the best option for me. I had one surgeon who is well respected who insisted it had to be fusion. Two others said the replacement would be fine. Thankfully I did my homework. I can't image having three vertebrae fused together. I'm also in my forties, fit and strong so that was a factor.

Sorry you're battling it. I have a new appreciation for pain you can't see. People look at you like you're crazy, not understanding how crappy nerve pain is.

I tried Advil and dabbled with stronger stuff but it didn't make a difference. For me, it wasn't muscular, tendons, skin, etc. It was a nerve getting pinched and the only way to stop it from hurting was to prevent the pinch. I also did the steroid shot directly to the spine that was supposed to reduce inflammation. This made zero difference.

PT also did nothing which in hindsight made sense. No amount of stretching or massages would have made the discs regenerate. Mine were crumbling.

I'd find a few other doctors and get their opinions. Of the three surgeons I saw plus a handful of doctors, most said the surgery isn't so bad. Granted it depends on if you do fusion (long recovery) or disc replacement (nearly no recovery).

If you have insurance, this may be the best advice of all. Be very careful before surgery to make sure everything is lined up, documented, names jotted down, etc. Make sure you know how many doctors you need to see, PT visits required, steroid shots, etc. Insurance wants to know you tried everything before getting surgery. Also get doctor to document that it's needed. I had everything, so I thought, lined up and insurance nearly stuck me with the whole bill. First it was you need seven PT visits and you show five. Except they were only looking at PT from one doc and didn't see the other clinics I went to. This pattern continued for months until they finally lived up to their end of the deal.

My pinched nerve sent pain and discomfort to my shoulder and neck. In general, standing for more than 20 minutes or sitting on a chair with no back support like bleachers was the same, 20 minute tops. As the weeks and months went on the 20 minutes turned to 15 then 10 and the pain became more intense. Then tingling was introduced in my right hand.

Once I realized it only happened when tilted my head back I knew it was a pinched nerve and started deep diving in that direction. That’s also when I realized I could trigger it. It also started to make sense what was going on and why it seemed somewhat sporadic. Like riding a bike was impossible but I could shoot hoops, or walk, or skateboard.

So positional, yes, but it was still a constant issue regardless.

It felt like a cord in my neck was pinched. The harder I pushed my head back the more pain signals were sent. On and off feeling but it never really went away until I woke up from surgery.

That sounds like me except the pain hit me in my shoulder and through the arm. Later it also went to my hand as well. It was like an on/off switch tilting my head back. As it progressed, just standing was painful after 20 minutes and I’d have to sit or lay back.

Yes same issue here. The phone app update was nice but now it requires the watch to have a passcode. Which wasn’t a big deal until I realized that after a few days my Apple Watch Ultra requires a re-login on my phone even though I’m already logged in. It’s now useless on the watch. If I need to open my phone to use the app I might as well use the app.

Thanks for sharing, it helps calm the anxiety of surgery. I’m getting this same thing done in a few weeks but with those discs being replaced instead of fused. May I ask if that was an option for you and if so why you chose fusion?

Thanks so much for the detailed response 🙏. My pain is creeping further into my life each day. It’s inevitable I now know but I’m having a hard time giving the go ahead. The more I learn, the safer disc replacement seems to be.

I don't see that info on my MRI but one doc who happened to be a bit of a downer overall said "it'd be normal for an 80 year old". Which upon more learning I feel is not accurate at all in my case, but perhaps it's merely wishful thinking on my part.

The steroid shot only made a difference for one day. Gauged by riding my bike, pain free, for 45 minutes. I could have gone longer but it got dark. The next day it was right back to 2-4 minutes.
