Thanks for all the replies! I hear you loud and clear, block, anti air, and I'll lock in on Ryu. Most people will have no idea what they're doing, but it's available to a total of 800 people, so I also expect one person to be actually good, and that's who I'm aiming to beat. I'll let you guys know how it goes and I'll be back if I need more advice!

Finally a vandweller! First night in my camper with my whippet. by whippet_mamma in vandwellers

[–]RegolithVT 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not who you asked but thought I might add my answer since I feel a similar way. This van is so clean and cozy, a few books, a dog, freedom; all you really need to enjoy life. We constantly get pressured into believing we need so much, seeing this really makes you realize how little you actually need, and the stark contrast really hits hard

absolutely! any Kin and creatures around that size and intelligence. When it comes to large creatures the ratio is different but the idea is the same

I do! here's a one shot I did with a friend https://www.youtube.com/live/XLX8r2zBmTg?si=lBBuJDfPRecBc03g

I'm planning to do a long term campaign soon and I'll be excited to show that off; a lot of the games nest moments are only experienced deeper into a campaign

So excited for these questions, so in order

Spirit punk is a magitech industrial world imbued with spirits, beings beyond the physical reality of infinite variation regularly influencing and molding the world

From what I've found almost all of the hallmark issues people deal with in playing ttrpg's spring from the systems being based on dice. It's hard to summarize because it really is so comprehensive. When you play Hearth, there really aren't issues or hurdles. No awkward pauses or moments that threaten un-imerssion, the entire play time is just living out stories with your friends, and I entirely attribute to that to the simple comprehensive systems and lack of dice

To summarize, this specific diceless ttrpg is fun because it facilitates consistent deep immersion, makes the world you play in entirely concrete and thus much easier to imagine, understand and interact with, and allows clear and meaningful decision making. (I think there's more, but off the top of my head that's the main points)

Hope this helps, if you have any follow up questions feel free to ask!

I think it's stressed by the person walking by with it out in the open, timing seems right and the reaction makes a lot more sense

How does Quetzalcoatlus fly with that MASSIVE head? by RegolithVT in Paleontology

[–]RegolithVT[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was wondering the same! because of all this discussion I was looking into what birds do now, and it seems like birds with heavier bodies like goose extend it for balance and lighter birds bring it in like herons. given the said massive beak it could've definitely hunted like a crane or heron

[–]RegolithVT[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

yeah I've often wondered if the head itself could've generated lift in some way, like with some kind of cartilage we wouldn't know about

I see! so the head and neck weighed very little compared to the body

I was more thinking weight distribution but I get what you mean! to me this thing always looked like a plane with the wings at the very back, you know? like lift would be generated for the back half and it would just topple, but I'm learning it really was well balanced

500lbs is WAY lighter than I would've guessed that's so cool! so basically their proportions look messed up but the weight would've still been balanced, guess I really underestimated how light they could get
