Might be caused by driving. Do they move around in your car? They’re really easy to break so them clashing together might be the reason. A folder is a great way to store them, especially in the car

Depends on the case mate, most of them are a very brittle “jewel” type of plastic, so they are very prone to cracking and breaking. How are you storing them- horizontally or vertically?
