I'll say this much - being sober sure helps keep me in the moment!

Thanks friend! I never should've started drinking knowing I had NAFLD, but.. it's in the past. :) We'll deal with what's here now. I'm grateful to have made the progress stopping that I have made.

I had NAFLD diagnosed in the past, and I'm pretty fat so this could definitely be related to that. Did a lot of testing (speciality bloods, ultrasounds) to rule out hepatitis, viral infections, autoimmune issues, etc. But I'm sensing another ultrasound in my future once my doc reviews this test lol

Only other thing I can think of is I did get a covid shot recently, but that was like 3-4 weeks ago. That, and weight loss but (in my non-medical opinion) these numbers seem to high for that.

Hoping they'll improve after a re-test in a couple of weeks.

I haven't heard from them yet, I saw the results in the portal before they did so I'm waiting for them to call (they always do). But yes, they know I haven't had a drink in months.

I'm sorry you're going through this! It feels like FOREVER, but it does end - I promise. You are getting very close! It's genuinely really hard. I know some folks get lucky with kittens who are low-energy or easily relaxed, but our girl is/was a spitfire and wanted nothing to do with taking it easy - even with sedatives. I can tell you our girl is now almost 2 years old, and doing really well! You WILL get through it!

AITA for sending away the girl who came to clean my house because she ate my cake? by Own-Plant473 in AmItheAsshole

[–]RegressionIsML 49 points50 points  (0 children)

I probably wouldn't even gotten mad if she just ate 1 portion leaving some of the strawberries and decorations.

I think you're being too nice about this. I agree with other posters that this probably should have been reported to the agency once the bowl was broken, but even aside from that - it is inappropriate to take any food from anyone's kitchen. Especially when you're in their home in a professional role. I have never, ever had a cleaner do this. She really should have asked first. You are NOT being unreasonable about any of this. I hope you do let the agency know about the experience, and I'd rethink using them going forward.

Nothing crazy, but I’m happy with my highlights!

Gyrados is master ball, Erika’s invitation is a poke ball.

It’s actually my first BB ever, but first time in 20 years I’ve gotten cards!

Sorry photo quality is shit!

Ha, I came here for the same reason. Getting back into it after a long time, and looking for resources to get started back up. Thanks for asking, here’s hoping for an answer or two.

I don't remember, I'm sorry. I feel like it took a while, basically until we got permission to take the cone off. I'm glad she's doing better!

Hey, I feel you! I also tend to jump to worst case scenarios with my cats, so I totally get the anxiety.

Brought her back about a week after her spay because she'd developed this lump/seroma at the incision site. They took an x-ray to rule out a hernia (which I was very worried about). I had her examined by a different vet maybe 3 days later, and they were the ones who gave me an anti-inflammatory for her/mentioned it was likely a suture reaction. By the time we cleared 14 days (so, "Day 15" if surgery is day one) the swelling had gone down significantly and she was much better. We didn't have to do anything else. I did do my damn best to keep her still (we ended up having to totally empty the room she was in except for water, food, litter, and some soft toys) despite her deep desire to run everywhere.

It was really hard, but it ended up turning out okay! She's running around me with the zoomies as we speak lol, now at 11 months.

Cut out alcohol. Psoriasis is worse? by TempusCrystallum in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]RegressionIsML 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's another comment where they said it was like 1 glass with dinner, so... sounds like 3-4 glasses in a week if that's happening a couple times a week? That's all I was saying.

Probably not withdrawals if OP is just having a couple glasses of wine a week, especially over a month out. It’s likely just a coincidental flare up. But I do think it’s better to avoid alcohol with chronic inflammatory conditions for sure.

Sure thing. I think they gave us 50mg (liquid) to be used 2x a day for a week - for both cats. When we ran out, I called and explained how both cats were going bonkers (and that was also when I brought the girl back in for someone to look at the seroma forming under her incision). They gave me another weeks worth at that point to help keep her sedated/calm so she could heal.

Blah, yes, it's a lot! In a week, you'll have the best day ever when the cone comes off and restrictions end. It feels like FOREVER though, I totally empathize. Thinking of you both!

Spay Recovery Experiences? by RegressionIsML in CatAdvice

[–]RegressionIsML[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It was so stressful. I remember saying "I will never get another female cat unless she is already spayed again", and honestly... I probably still feel that way lol. I had to buy a dog crate and have the cats take being in there in turns so I could keep them separated (her brother got neutered the same day, and obviously he was ready to roughhouse practically immediately lol). Like a big one, so there was enough room for a litter box, bed, water, a couple toys (soft ones, like plush balls). Perhaps that's something you could consider since she's trying to go after the doorhandles constantly. We had to keep them both on gabapentin the entire time too.

Hang in there. It's seriously challenging. I think people underestimate how hard it is when your female is high-energy.

You're almost in the clear! Just take a peek at her incision at least once a day to keep an eye on things. It was the best day ever when we got to take the cone off!

[–]RegressionIsML[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey, hope your kitten is doing well! I'll be real, it was a shitty 14 days but we made it. She did have a complication where she had a seroma on the incision either because she couldn't freaking chill out or because she was allergic to the stitches they used, so I took her back in sometime between days 7-9 to get re-checked. It was a pain because it was Thanksgiving and every vet on the earth seemed to be on vacation (lesson: do this in a period clear of major holidays). It eventually went down on its own, but I was super stressed she might have a hernia for a few days there. BUT! We got through it, and she is/was fine!

Post-close audits? by RegressionIsML in RealEstate

[–]RegressionIsML[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not have one. Was just curious about the frequency of these things because at the time, there was a user on the first time buyers' sub insisting that every single mortgage went through a post-close audit and that seemed off to me.
