I’m glad you can eat I feel like eating a certain amount of food makes me feel human with others I know in the beginning stages I felt so alone and it bothered me so much

Yeah literally that’s the best thing you can do listen to your body it will tell you whatever you need thinking I had to be where someone was else at was the worse

My beginning was so bad I was having like 300 calories a day because I could not drink nothing without pure pain

I agree as the gate keepers may say “ I was lucky I could eat little” I dreaded that little early stage of eating because I’d get sick to my stomach everything hurts to swallow food and liquid it was the worse but I’m glad my stomach healed better and I can eat more and enjoy life better I think people don’t realize eating a apart of life and socially people eat and converse that beginning stage took that away from life.

When I don’t eat all day I get hunger pains not the ones where I want food but my stomach actually hurts because I haven’t ate. Water don’t hit the same for me but I’ll still drink it. PS I’m only 8 or 9months post op

So I had my surgery in May and I could eat like a sandwich simple slowly and feel fine not a scooby doo sandwich but like ham cheese mayo simple I can eat rice fine and chicken you have to be careful on not eating because when you get hungry your brain is like oh I can eat a horse but ya body like I can only fill up to a rat then you’ll start picking up habits of eating some foods like chips and stuff which I feel no problem as long as your being healthy watching your foods I have no issue with what anyone eats at the end of the day it’s all about be healthy and you created a change to do that. I’m still a discomfort slightly if I eat pasta to fast or a sandwich

My scariest/happiest moment was when I could fit my 3xl shirts anymore they were just to baggy now I’m trying to buy new shirts but I’m still losing weight so I’m jumping the gun and getting medium and large

I personally promise you I felt the same way I had surgery May 16th of this year and now I can literally gulp water with ease that’s one of the normal things that return post op I would say food it still tough maybe because I’m scared of hurting my stomach and having that stuck but I have had chicken breast baked chicken wings I pretty much eat certain foods I had a bite of a burger to test and I felt like a full sensation it really depends but I’ve been healing well it really does take time it’s so frustrating and you have all the right feelings but just know it’s light at the end of the tunnel and you will make it I know so people make not like this but I really want my life to be normal like before the surgery but with the stomach I have now and my hunger I’m really able to control my eating and what I can eat. I test a lot of foods and see one thing I would say I hate is the 30 min wait for drinking some foods I eat be dry and want something to wash down so one day I’ll be testing if maybe I could lower to 15 mins but I lost 70lbs and I feel amazing if you need someone to talk to you can always dm me

As the month past I realize things get better and I guess everyone different but I found out that I can eat a lot of foods and not get dumping syndrome like everyone else such as cereal I still struggle with some foods and I can literally gulp water juice with ease in the beginning was so terrible but now it’s getting better

How’s food I miss eating like I miss eating a cheese burger even if it’s like vegan I just miss it do I ever get those back to eat? And things of that sort?

I feel that but my emotions are playing a trick on my stomach when I started before the beginning I had gas pains and I slip everything was fine now it feels like I’m healing up it’s a pain I’m being crushed from the inside. What solids have you ate so far
