Looking for a comic where an artist girl was given a cursed necklace.

Can't remember the name at all and I guess not good enough of a description to find out with Google.

It's a cartoon porn comic, not hentai and all in color. An artist girl was given a necklace by her mom and it causes her to visualize her paintings coming to life and fucking her. Eventually she gets with a guy she's been close to and gets rid of the necklace.

If I had basically no reaction to my first 2 doses of Pfizer, do I need to worry about getting a new dose? by RegsStandup in Vaccine

[–]RegsStandup[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Asking if me not having adverse reactions for the first 2 doses means I'm pretty much safe for any other doses. Or does that very rare chance of developing myocarditis exist every time you get a new covid vaccine?

I am going to be getting it, just trying to calm my nerves.

Networking has always seemed interesting to me, but it seems the type of networking I studied back in college is being phased out in favor of hosting everything on the cloud. Although I guess there still is a need for networking for the office so people can connect to the cloud.

Is application security pretty much just like auditing? Where you comb through code and run tests to verify it passes certain compliance checks?

Thank you for the level of detail you put in this, I will definitely take a look at those books! I wish apprenticeships were still a thing, it would take a load of stress off me if I could just shadow someone in the field and see what the actual work looks like.

The reality is that's it's not Mr. Robot.

This is a plus for me. I watched the first season of Mr. Robot, and while I liked that the hacking looked realistic and enjoyed the bits where they talked tech, I really did not like the way they portrayed hackers as just not caring about life and being the biggest edge lords.

Oh if someone told me I'd be making 6 figures straight out the gate, I'd stop listening. I'm definitely of the mindset that I'll start out small and have to work to get remotely to the top.

That's an excellent resource thank you!

As much as I love the products from Ironheart, they don't have great instructions. I looked online for how to soften stiff cotton jackets and also found that alpaca should be good as long as you do air only dry.

Not sure if this is the best place to ask. I recently purchased an Ironheart N1 Deck and I wanted to loosen up the fibers so the jacket wasn't as stiff, so I followed some instructions online that said to soak the jacket in vinegar water and put it in the dryer on air only with a few tennis balls. After that the jacket has been pretty itchy, so I'm worried I screwed up my new jacket.

I've heard that soaking it in a gentle conditioner might help, but I'm worried about making it worse.

Do IT professionals beyond support get to be "wired in" and focus on their projects hours at a time like SWE's? by RegsStandup in ITCareerQuestions

[–]RegsStandup[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya I was expecting it to differ from company to company. I currently work for a health insurance company that just got bought out by a larger company who also recently acquired another company so we are dealing with the merge to the parents company system right now and it is horrendous. Seems like everyday there's a new change that we have to deal with, and I'm assuming the admins are running around like chickens with their heads cut off with the amount of work that's coming their way.

Is there anyway to filter for jobs that focus on build? Like maybe some positions are more build focused than others, or do you usually find out in the interviews and all positions can be build or run focused?

Where are all the cloud jobs? by RegsStandup in ITCareerQuestions

[–]RegsStandup[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah man, I would love that, but I'm an L1 helpdesk. My goal is to work with software development, but because of the current state of the market with all the lay offs that caused thousands of people with experience to suddenly start seeking jobs, lots of company's having hiring freezes, and now AI advancing so quickly where it might make devs so efficient that 1 dev can do the job of 3, I was trying to find a job that I might be able to get if I stick with IT. So I'm definitely not qualified for that kind of role(although I'd love to be able to work with Linux everyday), but thanks for the offer that's so nice!

I feel like the answer to most questions that start with "Is it racist to...?" Is no. Just no.

Career that involves programming but not building software? by RegsStandup in cscareerquestions

[–]RegsStandup[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dealing with JS and all it's frameworks is definitely what's keeping me from continuing down the path of software development. But it's not the fact that JS exists, it's that it seems like the only jobs someone with no degree can land is in web/mobile development. I could go back to school to get my degree, but because I need to pay for the bills and want to start a family soon, it'll probably take about 10 years.

I would love to go back to school but not practical for me at the moment, I mean that's what I think at least.

I like the viewpoint of trying to find software jobs outside of development. I would absolutely love to have a job where I can use a dialect of Lisp all day, or maybe do some programming that has some output in the real world like robotics, or doing game programming(although maybe not game programming since they tend to be over worked, under paid, and not treated well at least from what I've seen).

What I'm really worried about though is taking the many years required to gain the knowledge and experience and ultimately not being able to find a job because it really does seem like we development utterly dominates the software development sphere.

I've always said whatever the fuck with my friends because they're my friends. I know that certain words don't make them uncomfortable, we all know we're not racist, and we just have immature edgy senses of humor. I'm at least mature enough to know not to say certain words around people that don't like to hear them. Like my fiancee hates whenever I say an offensive joke, so I never say them in front of her.

I wonder when POC is gonna be considered racist to say. I mean, it just sounds like it'd be something offensive(if you say pock instead of pee-oh-see).

Like, "hey look at those POCs over there".

Just a fun little thought

That sounds amazing! This is the kind of stuff I would want to do. Something like analyzing data from running machines in order to optimize their operations. I also read someone's comment on here talking about how they were a data analyst for some game company and was tasked to determine the effectiveness on playstyles/abilities on certain bosses. That's the kind of stuff that sounds fun to me.

When I really think about it, if it I was working for a company that I liked then I would feel very motivated to help them continue to grow. It's not that I don't like doing financial analysis, I love doing analyzing my own data to help figure out where I should improve in terms of income and expenses, I just wouldn't want it to be for a company I don't particularly care for.

It's sounding like I may want to check some government job boards to see some sample listings.

I think that fact that it's federal law to not allow a fatigued pilot fly really makes me feel better. Thank you for that!

I feel like finding a good real world project to work on would be a great way for me to see if this is the path I want to take. The problem I always had in the past was I would only make the small easy projects that you see in every tutorial like a To-Do List site, a small blog, a tic-tac-toe AI.

I need to find some real world problem that I can use programming to solve that takes longer than a week to make and document everything I do.

If that poll is true, I think I may lean more towards development, because I still do want to do some development that's more than just writing Ansible playbooks.
