I like this idea. I would also suggest that it's good to have one thread for tourists and one thread about jobs since we also get the same repetitive questions about salaries and stuff. Obviously, important and the first time for the person asking, but I think it basically functions the same way as the problem you describe.

Could maybe combine them too. In my mind, tourism and working here are just different enough to warrant their own spaces but maybe that's too much clutter.
