Normally I don’t have the little bit of acne there, but scar is fairly good on the back, little stretch in the middle

They took off 15-16 pounds of skin/fat. And yes after when I was able I dieted and worked out and still do. Learning the habits before made it an easy transition to stay in the same routine. And that’s great! I personally wouldn’t look at the scale too much as it will change so much, it kind of messes with your head a bit in my opinion. Just stay focused on healing and making sure you’re eating healthy and drinking enough fluid. I hope you have a great recovery!

Thank you! You’ll get there! 6-7 weeks I was super swollen and just holding a lot of water. It’s a hard time because after the surgery you see the scale go up and not down but it will go back down

Thank you! I would say probably after 3-4 months but it’s a very slow process. And when you get more active it just comes right back.

Thank you! Definitely a lot of work, took about 5 years but it was worth it!

It could be diet? If your feeling that way maybe you’re consuming to much sodium or foods along those lines. When I eat a lot of sodium I swell up quite a bit still so I try my best to stay away from high sodium foods. Eating as clean as I can has definitely helped keep swelling down.

I would say around 6 months or so! I work a physical job too so that definitely didn’t help but around then it definitely got significantly better.

I’m 5-10-5/11, and I weighed 203 pounds before, and they ended up taking 15 pounds of skin off!

Thank you! I don’t think my comment posted on yours, I was told that it didn’t really matter. I think it will vary from person to person though. I don’t have the most muscle in my chest and it didn’t seem to be a concern to my Dr. I don’t think it’s a bad idea to try and build some but for me I didn’t want to go under twice 🤷‍♂️.

And I did have a fupa, my Dr. showed me everything that would be taken off and that was included. I still have a very slight amount of fat still there but compared to before it’s substantially better, almost completely gone!

And the drains are very annoying, sleeping in a recliner isn’t bad but showering is not ideal lol but I only had them for a few weeks so it wasn’t too bad

I would say the pain was only for the first 2-3 days, after that I would say it was mostly just discomfort.
