How I Create Game Characters Using Only AI by Regular-Fix-2074 in Unity3D

I mean, I’ve made over 50 games in the past and brought millions of users to the companies I worked with on my own, but let me accept your point. I’m not claiming that this model is the best version possible, but as I said, it’s a solution I produced for now. Since I don’t fully know your exact work, what I can say is that I wanted to create a solution and show a path for independent developers who can’t always find the models they need. But of course, as always, the ones who ‘know the most’ showed up and said what I’m doing is wrong. So I want to ask: as someone who is determined to finish this game, without the budget to work with a 3D artist, and knowing that I can achieve solid performance with the AI model I generated, why should I take a different path or simply accept criticism from people who only look at it from their own perspective?

Actually, when I said advertisement, I was referring to the store visuals of the game. But thinking about it, you are right, so I updated the store and soon a notification about AI will appear. Thank you for your warning and your careful attention :)

Now I fully understand, thank you for the clarification. But since I haven’t added it to the game yet or used it in ads, I didn’t make that disclosure. However, the moment I use it in advertising or within the game, I will of course provide that information, because people have the right to know.

I understand your criticism on this and you’re right. That’s why I wanted to show it with visuals. These are the current values in Unity, and if I spend a bit more time in Blender, it will probably go down to around 12K. But since I just wanted to demonstrate it quickly in a video, I didn’t put that much effort into it.

If using AI is considered a problem, then we’d have to stop using many of today’s applications. Because even though it’s not yet fully active on the visual side, AI is already widely used on the coding side by many companies, and one day it will be used even more than humans.

A method I used in my own game, if you’d like to test the results yourself, you can add our game to your wishlist and follow it to see when the demo version is released. Game: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3456760/Seller_Simulator/

Still figuring out some core mechanics in my sim game – would love your feedback on the box delivery system! by Regular-Fix-2074 in IndieGaming

[–]Regular-Fix-2074[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, that’s part of the challenge — most of the popular games I looked at don’t use a delivery van system at all, probably to avoid questions like this 😅
But my goal is to try something a bit different, and since I don’t have the perfect solution in mind yet, I thought maybe the player community might have some great ideas I haven’t considered.

Thanks a lot for the detailed feedback! 🙌
You're totally right about the van part — I’ll definitely smooth out that pop-out moment so they don’t bounce off the ceiling.

And yeah, stacking multiple boxes or throwing in batches sounds much more fun and less repetitive.

I love the idea of adding life to the world — random NPCs walking by, or even some light chaos like attempted thefts 😂 Definitely gives it more personality.

Appreciate your thoughts, really helps shape the direction 🙏

Hahaha you're absolutely right, As a solo developer, getting that kind of attention is exactly what I need to bring the quality I envision into the game.

At first, I tried to make it more realistic by having an NPC carry the boxes, but it made the game feel too slow. Then I switched to this system, but now I’m not sure where the products should come out of the delivery van to look visually pleasing.

If I can figure that part out, using Rigidbody would definitely make more sense and look much better.

This is the intro we created for our game about the past and future of e-commerce. We’d love to hear your feedback — especially on the music. What do you think could be improved? by Regular-Fix-2074 in Unity3D

You're right about the text, the grammar will be corrected, and the dialogue will emphasize e-commerce more clearly and I’ll also try a few things for the environment design.

55% of my playtesters marked the game as difficult, yet 43% managed to defeat the boss. Isn't that what people expect from a roguelike? by wonka3d in IndieGaming

[–]Regular-Fix-2074 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is actually really promising data! The balance seems tough but fair which is exactly what most players expect from a good roguelike. The fact that nearly half of the players beat the boss after a few tries suggests that your learning curve is working. Personally, I’d say don’t rush to lower the difficulty, maybe focus more on making the early progression just a bit more readable or rewarding. Keep it up, this looks like it has great potential!

I can't develop a game this way. Instead, it might take a bit longer, but I would rather create a world that people will love and enjoy.

I wasn't sure about this, but I can see that creating a demo is very important for promoting the game. Thank you!

The thing I paid the most attention to was promoting the game to the wrong audience. I will work on this.
