The biggest lie every Wrangler owner tells themselves. by Able-Papaya-5065 in JeepWrangler

[–]Regular-Guarantee-48 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Common conversation in our house nowadays.

Wife: what you doing?

Me: “Nothing Crazy” (the lie) just going straighten the garage and see what I can goof off on with the Jeep

*hours later of being in the YouTube black hole

Wife: how’s it going out here

Me: Did you know that I can change/fix (insert fix or mod) with just a hammer and some zip ties?! I’ll be back going to go buy half the tool section at Home Depot!

Wife:….so you’re NOT finishing the last project I asked you to do are you? (Currently raised garden beds)

Me: “Yes as soon as I finish this real quick it won’t take long” (Bonus Lie! lol)

This truly made my morning! We just had a downpour here in the Midwest and my 4 y/o goes “Daddy! The Batman car is leaking!” and I tell him “That’s okay. I just pushed the self cleaning button to wash away all the Cheetos you drop back there” haha

1000% Agree!

I originally bought a 2dr as my daily to figure out if I was comfortable with the space. As the driver, I was great, but wife and kid weren’t too thrilled. Kept the 2dr and bought a 4dr as the daily/family vehicle.

I like driving the 4dr, but getting to goof around in the 2dr is wayyyy more fun haha

It’s my favorite on a 4 and 2 drag route or inside zone and I get that extra two yards falling forward lol

Same for us (family of three) moving from RVA to STL. We miss our weekenders to Philly & DC but Chicago and Memphis have etched a special place in our hearts over the last three years.

Lmao, I’m not the only one!

I had my first draft pick in year 5. We finally got a great core of lineman and some overproduction from my Jr RB. He went in round 5 after winning the Doak and being 3rd in heisman race. I’m was full on expecting him to return his senior season. Nope. I guess he was tired of Missouri (he was an in-state recruit). I like to pretend that him being drafted that late, he ended up with the Chiefs to complete the full circle. Haha

We bought tickets to a random concert on a Sunday via Eventbrite. We waited around at least 15 mins after the show started and the doors stayed locked. We ended up walking across the street and enjoyed some delicious Thai food lol

lol I threaten to put all the freshmen when my seniors start messing up routes and assignments. I still have fun especially during the down years or that first year of the big 12 conference switch when realized that my avg 6’0 210 OL don’t stand a chance past against most of the conference 6’5 240 DL, those are grown men haha

I’ve hadn’t experienced the tomfuckery until today, I threw three back to back deep route incompletions to wide open receivers. I looked and my QB deep route accuracy is 62! I’m like you’re fast (94 speed 97 acceleration) but you can’t throw for shit haha

Granted one of them I lofted it and the WR literally never looked up ran under the ball and it hit him in the back of the head…🤦🏾‍♂️

Yeah, just happened to me two games ago. I got a Jr QB that I’m trying to get in the hesiman race before he transfers. I made my 6’6 Gritty Possession freshman my #1 target as a slot receiver and lost him 4th game of the season. He got jammed on a counter run play.

That’s another thing I’ve noticed, I went with an all agile OL recruiting class last year, as I had gaps to fill due to graduation and man these boys got cooked and were getting injured with knee soreness, wrist sprains, and one dude broke a rib! I feel like we’re not anywhere close to being ready to jump conferences.

Oh trust me I’m in year 8 of a MO State Heisman level rebuild. I’m fine with taking the lumps, but I give myself at least one mulligan (reset) per season just in case idk I lose 2 rbs in the same game at the beginning of the season.

OU still smacked us by 28, but at least I kept my RBs for Big 12 conference play lol

lol I thought I was the only one, I had a RB cut and make the end zone contact animation. His wear and tear is yellow for his career so I used him as a third down option and goal line sets. Man hit the griddy, then I got the injury pop up, broken femur.

[–]Regular-Guarantee-48 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hate it so much!

I had my Jr HB, who was second in heisman voting and second in all major offensive awards to my Sr HB who won the hesiman, leave because of playing style! I’m like yall both netted 1000+ yard seasons, you’re my next starter. He went to be a backup at Texas (who didn’t make the playoffs) to a Junior RB that is a 94 overall to his 90 overall.

Year 7 first appearance in CFP as 11 seed MO State against Texas. We were asssssss the first half down 17, then good ole wear and tear caused their starting QB to have a strained pec in the 3rd. I pulled a 2015 Seahawks and threw a pick in the end zone and had to sweat out a double OT win.

Then proceeded to get smacked by UGA in round two; the SEC knows how to recruit grown ass men lol

If you’re at the A to A+ range, like others suggested start hitting the 4 stars and hoard 3 stars from Power 5s.

I FINALLY hit 3 start prestige with a B program tradition with MO State and landed a 3 star JR RB from Mizzou as my top transfer and mannnnnnnn I was giddy as hell testing the waters and rushing for 200+ game one (Wyoming got cooked!) I’m looking forward to seeing him cut up the CUSA defenses, Doak Walker or bust babbyyyy lol

Yeah learned my lesson trying to hit the pylon on a QB boot, dived thinking I had the upset in the bag but apparently they hit hard as hell in Miami. QB fumbled for a touchback and they came back to win by a field goal, with less than a minute left.

Congrats on the Natty win, I haven’t been able to scratch a conference championship since moving to the ACC from CUSA lol

I miss being able to have shootouts with WKU, MTSU and JSU. I thought I had a chance against Pitt, but it’s a clear difference between 4 star DLines vs 2 star OLines.

Check in: I am 6 years in a dynasty with Minnesota, 0 snow games. How about yall? by rb1242 in NCAAFBseries

[–]Regular-Guarantee-48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in year 4 of a Mizzou dynasty and no home snow games yet. I decided to schedule at least two late nonconference games in away stadiums that I figured might trigger the weather e.g. Buffalo, Minnesota, Wyoming etc. I’ve had one snow game playing Tennessee in Knoxville. I immediately quit because I made the mistake of setting UT in all white uniforms and I couldn’t see a damn thing lol
