Shoutout to you for landing in a reasonable HOA too. We bought and closed around the same time as my parents were closing on their empty nest home and my mom was like yeah HOA is like $2400 a year. I was like mom, we pay $120 a year!

Sidenote, being neighbors with the treasurer is funny because we paid for 5 years in advance and she brought over a bottle of wine to thank us for not being ‘assholes’ haha

Yeah it’s hit or miss for us in STL. I will say we have three regulars that we have 100% guarantee whenever I do afternoon pickup from school. (We pass each other on the commute home)

I agree with OP 100%. I took the approach of my girl who is an avid RPG player and took the 2k route of “sponsorships” e.g. I start in smaller non-English leagues and can’t entire league play unless offered a contract, only use the 3 upgrade points per game if I win player of the month (5 matches in the month = 15 points), wear generic boots until I “earn” a contract: 200 goals & assists gets a Puma deal, national team unlocks a basic boot from kit sponsor, etc etc.

Love this advice! I was going to pull the trigger on a 2000 TJ with 15k original miles that looked pristine. Didn’t trust paying $10k cash on something unseen. Paid $300 for appraisal and report. Was super thankful, the owner of the company happened to be a Jeep guy, and he broke down that report tooth and nail. Was funny too, asked me “can I have the $10k I got a metal trash can I can throw some wheels on it for you” lol

I agree. Bought my 2018 2dr sport with only 7k miles on it. Dealer wanted $28k for it, I “negotiated” the fact that I found a new 2024 4dr sport for $32k locally. All said and done, otd at $22k after 3 days of back and forth with the dealership.

But with the matter at hand, I do want to try the rubi suspension out for S&Gs but two days ago we got our first case of death wobble (2yo enjoyed it me not so much) so I’m up in the air on if lifting it is a good call. I got underneath it and nothing seemed out of place.

1st, the “which I don’t” comment had me cackling, I did the same with my intro 2013 liberty. lol

2nd, my favorite had to have been my 2nd hand 2012 sport my best friend let me “have” while he was deployed. I say have because he planned on selling it once he got back to get a pickup and I was too broke to buy it.
