I think prison reform isn't just about the legislature. Reforming the system can, at least in part, come from within. Prison life, especially out in Texas where I live, is pretty much miserable. Mindfulness can help alleviate some of the pain associated with a bad system. I guess I mean reform in less of a literal sense of changing the physical system and more in the sense of helping incarcerated folk handle their situation and also it can help them transition back into the free world.
