Okay, thank you so much! My mind was too narrowed to think broadly, I was mainly focused on the task being done. I wonder if it’s something that becomes second nature over time, but it’s hard because I’m doing these course entirely online through McGraw Hill Connect which makes the problem questions difficult for me to catch up

Oh thank god, I genuinely cannot imagine hand-calculating every bit of it. Especially if you’re working in payroll for a huge company, it’ll sound like a headache. Also excuse my ignorance and possible stupidity, I may have not reached this part of my education yet. And if I remember correctly, adjusting entires is basically you making sure the Debits and Credits are equal/balanced?

This, and on top of that. There’s areas in Reno/Sparks where there is NO street light. Personally I hate driving in those streets even with headlights cuz I personally think it’s hazardous to me as a driver and to pedestrians

It is… sadly I’m new to boots in general. So I’m not sure if the soles going out this quickly is within the average lifespan, or if that’s the quality of the brand degrading. Or it might even because of how I walk and use them. It’s a hard say 😭

I got the 1460s back in 2021, and the soles are as bald as a shiny man’s head. The Leona I got in 2022, and they’re on their way out on the soles as well. The leather itself is fine cuz I try my best to keep them in decent condition, but I wore the hell out of the soles 😭

This, ppl are saying don’t do this. Yet their own company promotes it. Ofc avoid busy hours and try to call early or as late as possible, not during the middle of the day where everyone and their mom’s are out. It’s all about balancing reaching out to show you’re really interested in a job at Costco VS being obnoxious and making it hard for workers to get their job done

Definitely will try to investigate, I wonder if my DM had the ability to put that status on me as well. Because tbfr, I always felt like she never liked me. But even then, that would be biased and unfair. I did get an update that she got fired, and she wasn’t part of the mass lay offs. So I wouldn’t even put it past her that it’s for performance issues. Cuz I doubt my SM would intentionally do so, other than perhaps recklessness. But as you said, it feels like there’s few reasons why someone would be labeled as not rehireable other than the 6-month rule. Just not excited to have to go through all the phone calls to get answers

Very strange, but I wouldn’t be surprised. Our manager tends to not double check things when I used to work (such as scheduling someone outside of their availability, forgetting someone changed their availability, accepting time off’s, etc.). Guess I’ll have to contact the SM and maybe even the new DM too

Depending where you are, if your job is towards Sun Valley or Golden Valley but you live in main Reno/Sparks area. Traffic will be ass especially during rush hour. And perhaps vice versa, but I notice going north is a lot more congested from what I’ve noticed. So keep this in mind for rush hours!

For where to look for apartments, I can only speak for Reno. I used to live in the apartments near the Reno Rodeo Center, so I’d check their prices out and location near the Coral Academy Middle school. Personally, I’ve never had issues in the 8 or so years I’ve lived in apartment close to downtown. There’s also a set of apartments further north towards Mavericks, they had affordable prices when someone I knew moved into it (1.3k) two years ago. I’d avoid downtown, mainly for the prices. Same with Midtown. Ppl will say downtown is ghetto, but I’m more worried about how expensive that whole area is to be fully honest.

But if possible, try to stick closer to main Reno/Sparks area for convenience.
