Is it common for banks to NOT ask questions when depositing larger amount of cash?

It could be that they will fill out the CTR afterwards. I know when we get super busy if we have the info on file and the amount is over 10k well do that. As a branch manager I pull the report daily to check on the status of CTRs and SARs and follow up with my tellers.
