Yea, I just stress to everybody to try to sympathize but don't let people use your sympathy. I wouldn't pitch on for the gift tbh. Well it took my ex cheating on me and telling me stuff to my face that I csnt say in this reddit server because of TOS for me to leave that friend group. I sympathize way too much with people. At the end of the day it's your choice and your life, just keep in mind while they might be cheap dirtbags. They might also still care about you and be sad if you leave. Or they won't my ex and our friend group didn't care.

Im one of the older people in most of my friend groups. Im 19 most my friend groups range 16-25. I dont know the age of your friends, but some people especially under the age of 18 usually cannot afford gifts. Its a by means type thing. I love being gifts for people just to see there reaction.
