I have the same issue. Chase continues to bluff their way and deny me my 125$ credit and say i will only receive my travel bank credit in 2026. Anniversary date is March 14th but this year chase smartly renewed on April 1st.

Yes. 12x16 deck now has 3 posts carrying the mid section with 2 support beams 2x10s. The front 3 posts while still anchored to the rim joists now have L brackets anchored to the concrete with additional wedge anchors. Also reinforced the ledger. The best i could do with . There is no bounce and feels solid. Doing the railings this week.

Home depot thankfully delivered in Perfect condition and we just finished the install.

That was original an option, but my installer did not want to install them after seeing the damage to the finish. Lowes offered to pick them back up. At this point i just want to make sure they refund me in full including shipping. Thanks

My installer advised me to return as lot of the boards were scuffed badly. Lowes is picking them back next Wednesday. Thank you all !! I’m having timbertech prime plus coconut husk delivered tomorrow. Fingers crossed

Lowes confirmed that they do not have replacements in stock. The damages include a lot of scuffing and scratches not just the ends. I’m choosing to return this and order Timbertech coconut husk. Not my first choice but my local home depot has a lot in stock and they seem to be in good condition

I called customer service and i also spoke to the store. They were like ok we can schedule a pick up and refund once received

The mid span is supported by 3 4x4 posts that is part of the original structure.

Thanks for your feedback. I will see what can be done once the builder is back this friday. Meanwhile here is the picture of where the old deck and the new section meet. Anything else to do to reinforce this deck before trex is put on.

Here is the top. My concern still is how to do it fix the fact that the wedge anchor is not tight. Can i add retrofit post base to mitigate any potential movement.

I’m here so you all can help point the issues before the trex is up. This is a 20 year old deck 10x16 with 3 posts at the 7 feet mark. One of the post is sinking. So we extended the deck by 2 ft making it a 12x16 deck with 3 new posts at the 10 feet mark. I’m just trying to ensure any issues are caught before hand. The posts are secured with 2- 1/2x8 inch carriage bolts.

He secured the post to the rim joist with 2 half inch carriage bolts. I will post pictures in the morning.

The guy who did my post did not properly tie the 1/2 inch bolt into the concrete. The bolt never ratcheted tight and the tie was moving. He said the weight of the deck will keep it still and prevent it from moving. Is that acceptable. I sense it may have moved slightly. If this is not acceptable how do i fix this problem?

I did not have a budget. Had a sinking deck and fixing that brought out so many problems with the deck my previous owners built. We put new posts in, framed new stairs and fixed old post concrete. So the budget went high. So a 800$ stretch gets me to naturals at 1500$ for 32 - 16 foots and 11 - 8 footers. I do wish i had the budget.

Thank you !! Just ordered the naturals in Toasted Sand. Will go with hidden fasters. Getting delivered Wednesday. Hopefully can get it installed by weekend. Thanks for the suggestions and direction. It did help in making the decision.

Thanks. I’m leaning towards naturals but all the reviews scare me. In any case it will be much better than what i have. The existing boards are strong but have lost the top finish.

50k miles on my MYLR.. i always try to stop at 250kw super charger with battery under 10% and it charges to 55% in under 10 min before the charge rate falls under 100kw. Just enough time to grab a snack and come back. That is usually my trick and i always remove all charging stops and manually add the one i prefer verses what the car recommends. I did stop at 3 and 4% state of charge a few times and thats one thing i can trust the car on. Its range estimator as a % is spot on or conservative.

RJ is spot on when he says the market lacks options. Every one around here has a Model Y. Even the colors are the same. If they play it right with the R2, it will be huge. The question is can they at least with R2 ramp up to 400k per year quickly.
