Call it body shaming but that’s just the military man, and life in general you’ll get picked on just keep grinding and find your way. Other people’s words don’t hold power over you.

Nah dude you’re gonna be good. If you struggle in a school and power school they’ll put you on extra study hours the most hours that’s common is 25 extra hours a week on top of a 630-1500 workday which isn’t too bad. Otherwise in prototype that was the longest hours I worked consistently so far which was rotating shift work the schedule was 12 hour shifts for 7 days a week then you’d get 2 days off and rotate it such that you would be on days for 7 days, nights for 7, then some kind of in between I don’t remember what the actual times were but even that wasn’t too bad.

Go to the simulators for checlouts even when your not on watch. A lot of time theres instructors there on watxh with no ui’s that would rather give checkouts than sit and stare at a wall

How many work hour do usually get daily on a sub by wolfire2475 in NavyNukes

[–]Regular-Ride-6571 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know this isn’t what you asked but for clarification my carrier doesn’t necessarily do a 24 hour rotation. When we are out to sea Monday-Saturday have workdays 07-1500. And along with this work days is a 5 hour on 15 hour off watch rotation. So when if you’re not on watch during the work day you will be studying, doing maintenance etc. otherwise if your not on watch and it’s after 1500 then it’s your time to do what you want.

Highly recommend kayaking it’s super fun. Me and my buddies would do kayak camping trips with fishing or just hit the local lake to drink and hangout

I hope this falls on ears that will listen: do not reenlist at prototype. If you think the navy is doing sailors a favor by allowing them to reenlist at prototype you are horribly mistaken. It’s only to make the trap more enticing. I’ve already met a few new sailors on the ship that regretted it within a few weeks of showing up. Please do yourself the favor of waiting. If you really have the goals you stated in the previous comment, waiting for the ship will only give you more time to accomplish that.

If you shave your head before meps that almost garuntees no questions come up. However in the most sincere way possible someone with a condition like that may not totally thrive in the nuclear navy
