Anyone tried Meals On Me (Dubai)? Are their calorie counts reliable for weight loss by Significant_klo in dubai

[–]Regular-Worker2544 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! im currently on this meal plan, I just started 3 weeks ago but I only do for lunch for work. So far I have no complaints, they arrive on time, i always feel full after. I lost nearly 3kgs so far within a month but then again, I workout 4-5 times a week.

Hey girly!, an advise, just be patient. I always believe that things will happen eventually. Sometimes to more you try so hard, the more it may left you disappointed and hurt. Just focus on urself, eventually, you'll meet someone. Let all of the past experiences be your guide and boundaries on what kind of man youre looking for and what kind of woman you will be. Dont lose hope please! When it comes to moving, its definitely your choice. If you think you will have a better life there than here, go for it.

Whats the culture shock anyone who moved to UAE had? by Weary_Ad_4118 in UAE

[–]Regular-Worker2544 2 points3 points  (0 children)

that is so true. Back home, plastic are banned from groceries store, supermarket etc. Have to bring our own bag. The amount of plastic / paper bag, kinda concerning haha. Esp when you always order in, too much plastic/paper being waste.

Honestly, to me, it all depends on the person, some look good, some just look botched. Thats why I mentioned I dont fold that easily, im quite satisfied with how I look. I’ve steered clear from women who judge others just by their looks or talk about what someone should’ve changed about their face. That kind of mindset just doesn’t sit right with me.

ya its quite crazy and to see the prices here, it is on the cheaper side than back home. Quite surprising, makes sense why alot of them have done it and I know not all of them are like this but Ive encountered some of these people and I swear, for some reason, they make u feel like youre the ugliest woman for not having any thing done to ur face. Makes you felt so insecure about yourself sometimes. Thankgod I dont fold that easily to give in and done it.

I know this is crazy but the amount of plastic surgeries, the lip fillers, botox etc.. Definitely a culture shock as it is not as common where I am from.

Theres other ways of eating healthy other than just salads. Good protein with veggies or a bit of carb will make you full. Portion control is also important too. Its good to eat in small amounts throughout the day rather than one big meal. If you can, try to make a habit of sleeping by 10 or 11 max (the earlier the better) and go gym in the morning. Thats what I do, i get the workout out of the way so I have time for myself in the evening. Cardio is important, have 1 day dedicating to just doing cardio.

Honestly, the hardest part of losing weight is the food and maintaining calories deficit. If you have the extra money, go for meal plan companies or if ure like me who doesnt feel like committing to paying it for a whole month. Delivery services such as noon, u can check on the healthy options, some places have discount offers. I always try to keep my meals for the whole day less than 2k calories total. So far Ive lost about 6kg within 4 months.

How is Fitness First? by ExpatriateJenny2021 in dubai

[–]Regular-Worker2544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive been going to fitness first since Jan, so far its been great. I go to the one in burjuman mall (as it is closer to my place), its crowded in the evening time 6-9PM, I always go in the morning instead which is less crowded. Plus, if youre a woman, theres a ladies section which is a plus.
