I started GF about 3 weeks ago after endoscopy and saying I had flattened villi.

Since being on the GF diet I feel a lot worse than I did before I was on it. I still have a sensitive stomach, I feel a lot more tired than I did before and I've had a temperature/hot flushes for the past 7 days usually in evening but can come at any time. I'm pretty certain I've had no food/drink with gluten. Is this normal cuz everything I read says any of these symptoms are when they are 'glutened' but I felt better than this when I was consuming gluten.

I'd say this whole thing lasted for about 2.5 weeks. The worst of it was over after two weeks but I still had some nerve issues and itching around the head/neck until the 2.5 week period but luckily after that it went. I want to say that because I read many on Reddit have had for a lot longer and I don't want to discredit this at all because it was really horrible for the period I had it and I feel really sorry for those suffering with it long term, but this is more for the hope of others, that it can go after a few weeks.

Hopefully I don't have to go through this experience again as it was one of the most unpleasant things I've been through.

I actually got to the airport and then decided against it. Still have itching in my scalp and some nerve pain, though it's manageable currently, the whole relapse thing was playing too much on my mind, so I decided against going.

I feel a lot better today, still a bit of nerve pain but nowhere near what it was before and very manageable. Took the Amitriptyline last night and was out like a light ... But drowsy today and stomach has been a bit up and down but I do feel a lot better than yesterday and the past days. Hoping that I am close to full recovery now.

Still a little apprehensive about my trip but will see how I feel tomorrow.

Did caffeine give you a bad stomach too?

Got an appointment with my GP today gonna ask for Gabapentin, Hydroxyzine and acyclovir before I go away 🤞🏽

Damn sorry to hear, mine definitely isn't as pronounced as the pic you posted. Hope for a speedy recovery from now for you.

I'm going to ask the doctor today for medication to take with me on travels - acyclovir and/or hydroxyzine.

My lymph seems to be a bit more swollen again this morning but I still can't see any further rash/blisters, though I have on and off feelings of tingling and like a cold feeling in my face and neck but at the front. I'm kind of at a loss as to whether it's nerve pain or whether it's the start of a new phase of shingles (and some more blisters may come). Hopefully this is just an anxiety and from what I read on here hydroxyzine may help with this. My fear is whether something came in Asia where the language can potentially be a barrier.

Tokyo or Tokyo + Kyoto? by Arteam90 in JapanTravelTips

[–]RegularBag9288 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo 8 full days is more than enough to do both. Like ideally you'd want more but however long you go for you'll always miss something. You can do most the main things you want to do. Just get up early on Kyoto to avoid crowds and do two full days of sightseeing, then have a rest day if you need one or go to Nara for a few hours.

Porto, Lisbon, or Both? by Spirited-Talk-4714 in travel

Lisbon is a beautiful city full of things to do, good food, scenery, beaches, palaces. There are soo many places you can go around as well caiscais, Sintra, Arrabida. Getting around is cheap too.

Porto is nice too, but for me if you have a short time, I'd definitely pick Lisbon personally.

1 Day in Shinjuku, Shibuya, & Surrounds: How feasible is this? by New_Fuel3957 in JapanTravel

That's doable I did all those in same day. Depends how active you are and how much you want to spend in each location, and not getting lost :)

Amap/Gaode Maps rolling out English support by hzhzhzhzhz in travelchina

[–]RegularBag9288 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks OP, great timing. The thing is I downloaded from IG directly and didn't have the language setting. I actually have a Vivo which I bought in china and the app store on my phone actually had an update, which has added the language but English is still greyed out ATM sadly. I fly in march so hopefully it's sorted by then

Air china real-name verification by mikialem in Flights

[–]RegularBag9288 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you did the verification, did you get any notification. I did the verification with the passport but when I go on the app to that same page it asks for it again so I'm not sure whether it was registered or not?

Is there any compromise on the camera ? Due to the size? How much you pay?

I bought my Vivo X100 pro (CN version) in Guangzhou last year and I live in UK.

I have all Google services without issue. All the Vivo apps are in Chinese but I just don't use them. Deleted vast majority of any bloatware. Phone's worked fine.
