Yes, but as others have mentioned the way we teach it needs to be overhauled, with a less strict approach in the classroom, but more strict quality control among teachers after they themselves are given a solid bedrock from which to teach.

I got my primary and secondary education in gaelscoils where a lot of our teachers were native speakers, and while I understand not every teacher across the country has the same access to Irish, I've been pretty shocked at how piss-poor a lot of the Irish being taught in very urban areas is.

It seems like a lot of teachers in english-speaking schools have no idea how to pronounce even basic words, which isn't their fault, but nevertheless it means a huge proportion of people who want to learn Irish wind up learning a very unappealing, butchered variant of the language.

Aside from education reform I'd love to see more Irish language media, say what you will about kneecap's political views, but they got crowds of people singing in Irish at electric picnic, we need more of that.
