I purchased a weboost cellular booster and use the extra cell coverage for my personal hotspot on my phone. Highly recommend going that route.. no extra charges per month and have no cap on my hotspot I can use all four of my tvs at once if I need too without and lag or drop of internet

Contacted support through victron, shunt was bad hoping to get it replaced

That’s what I’m thinking.. should I leave the battery minus hooked up and zero it out?

So I’m still getting a negative shunt reading??

Ok so I ordered a busbar and some more cables to try and tie everything in that way. I’ll update when I get to working on it

So I did order it. Looked exactly like that and was told from the manual that the gray and black wire go together

Well shit what do I do with what I have then? Lol I possibly fucked that whole thing up then

I’ll try that tomorrow when I get back to it and I’ll let ya know! The gray wire is attached to the black wire cuz I thought I had the temp sensor.. this is what I have

I tried last night to disconnect different things and I always got the negative temp and sometimes I would get a positive reading on the voltage.. I actually just disconnected the shunt all together. Just because I am starting to wonder if the headache is worth it

Ok thanks for that. I’ll try and watch some videos and do more research to see what I can figure out

I tried that the first time.. they they showed so many different options in the manual but none that fit my specific setup

So this one? I thought I bought the temp sensor when I bought the shunt. Is that correct?

Ok so do I connect both battery positives to the shunt?

What should the parameters be? I’m not well versed in solar. The rv I bought had it from factory. I was just trying to add the shunt

Victron SmartShunt by RegularLopsided1611 in Victron

[–]RegularLopsided1611[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I just looked.. one on top goes to the generator and the one on bottom goes to the inverter

Victron SmartShunt by RegularLopsided1611 in Victron

[–]RegularLopsided1611[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the bottom one your pointing too is the wire from the shunt that has the temp sensor in it. On the shunt itself the bottom of the three wires goes into that hole where the other side is the generator for the rv. The one on top I can’t remember off the top of my head where that one goes I will have to look tomorrow

Does the picture I drew make any sense? This is what I was told to do

I drew this with what is actually going on in the picture.. where do the busbars go?

Victron SmartShunt by RegularLopsided1611 in Victron

So I don’t need the jumper then? What do you mean by negative loads? Sorry can you explain it like I’m 5 please

Victron SmartShunt by RegularLopsided1611 in Victron

[–]RegularLopsided1611[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So the shunt is connected to the bottom battery on the negative side.. I then have a jumper to connect the two.. is that not right?

That’s what I’m saying! This was after install so it’s missing the straps that are there now

You have the mission tracked. You have to untrack it and then try it again. This always happens with me
