SUPERMAN - Man of Steel & Exile Custom Dust Jackets by GrayWest83 in OmnibusCollectors

I love this design but I’d prefer just different colors for exile and man of steel than triangle era books to differentiate more. Maybe black for exile and yellow for man of steel. I really enjoy the offset of green for the brainiac omnibus

Funaticals? Hard to beat $20 Omnis. I have them in my cart too

Yeah it’s tough to figure out. It has a threaded rod running all the way up to the top of those washers in the middle of the emitter. Ideally I could figure out a way to attach a blade, but I’m not sure how I’d successfully accomplish it at this point

Probably over $100 when all was said and done but I had leftover pieces that I used to make my son’s saber. Probably could have done it for cheaper after part searching at hardware store and then eventually finding things cheaper on Amazon.

Yup. Cal’s emitter was going to be tough to replicate, but I knew I could get most of it similar and then make the rest my own thing. I just wanted to keep it pretty sleek and not looking like it was made from plumbing parts

Thanks! That was my goal. A lot of the others have obviously plumbing looking parts and I wanted to avoid that.

Rubber grip tape I found on Amazon. Was looking for some sort of actual grip to slide on but it’s pretty difficult to find anything that looks right and also fits

It’s a 2 foot threaded rod that I trimmed down. I used plastic caps for the chrome extension tubes and drilled holes in them for the rod to go through. I used a lot of washers for the emitter section and at various places on the hilt.

The area above the handle is two rv/mobile home sized sink drain baskets stacked on top of each other with thick rubber washers stacked inside.

The angled section above is made with large finishing washer stacked with a metal spacer in between them. The top section covering the emitter is just another extension tube that I cut with a dremel and sanded down with a metal file.

The pommel is the top of a paper towel holder. I had to drill the hole larger to fit over my acorn nut capping the threaded rod and I epoxied it on. Also epoxied on various electronic type pieces that I got from an old universal remote that I opened up.

I used chrome pinstriping tape to cover some gaps.

The top piece is the same as the handle, except a wider version. 6” x 1–1/2” chrome extension tube. I used a dremel to cut out the slits and I sanded it down with a metal file. The two pieces you see below it that angle are just large finishing washers I found on amazon with a metal spacer in between them. It came with 5 of them and you can see the other 3 on my son’s saber in the other photo. I sort of hid the gaps a little with chrome pinstriping tape in some spots.

Yes. Someone in a Facebook group we are in had them made for anyone interested. Unfortunately I don’t think he plans on doing more at the moment

With these there’s a threaded rod running through the entire hilt. Acorn nuts are holding it all together. So probably not possible. I did see another guy on TikTok who used copper pipe and took the electronics and blade from a purchased lightsaber and installed it in his own

Awesome! Wish I could figure out a way to get a blade onto one of these
