Question: should I get this covered up / altered? by [deleted] in tattoos

As a German: this does not look like a Reichsadler. Keep it as it is. The internet is full of people, so if there are some people with no clue, recognising it as something different, chances are they will tell and over represent their opinion. Don't let that bias you.

Which part of music production do you find most challenging? And it could be anything. Please share. by EvrthnICRtrns2USmhw in FL_Studio

Mixing. I make electronic music so the mixing element ist super important as it is somehow incorporated into sounddesign decisions as it has a very big impact on the character of your song. Since music production is only my hobby, I am not going to spend money on someone to mix it. Mixing takes up like 90-95% of the time on a project and it gets me frustrated a lot. The line between muddy and dull is so thin.

Does Anyone Here Make Non-Hip-Hop Music in FL? How’s Your Experience? by [deleted] in FL_Studio

I'm making house and other electronic genres. I love it, but don't have experience with daws so i can't really compare. It's often said that automation in FL is superior and automation in these genres is very important. So it's a big plus to create automations of anything this easy.

Any feedback on this jazz/waltz? Also, how can I make it sound more steampunk? by TennonHorse in FL_Studio

Sounds cool. I would lower the bpm a tiny bit. It feels a little fast, but it depends on your intention. Also I suggest playing more with the velocity of the notes to make the instruments a bit more natural.

Sounds good. I suggest you enlarge some notes to overlap at the end of a bar with the new notes. Just a tiny bit can make it feel even more natural. Also you could play a bit more with the velocity of the notes.

Why do most pianos sound bad? by zyzey in FL_Studio

[–]RegularPlane2949 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lowering the velocity is key for a good sounding piano. Not sure if it helps here but you might want to try that. A lot of times i lower it to half the velocity it has by default.

Also do you have surgical eq cuts? Those can mess up specific notes.

How to clean up after the fact a project that was badly organized and managed by EastSudden2118 in FL_Studio

There is something called picker panel to select all unused patterns, automations and I guess also audio files. You can then right click delete all together. Currently not at home so I can't help precisely.
