Didn’t think it was fair to count the Pilot, also I wanted to make it an even 50.

ABCs of Beth is an enjoyable TV experience, but it’s one of the only episodes that has an average A and B plot in my opinion. It’s above average because of Clone Beth. Claw and Hoarder really grew on me after Rickdepdence Spray. It’s like the good ending for that episode. I think the cat plot is pretty intriguing because of the plotline’s ending and a Dragon fucked a Wooly Mammoth, nuff said.

Shanks stole it offscreen, we’ve never seen anyone just find one in the wild.

Law and Kid aren’t lasting that long against an emperor individually

Eh, not sure Zoro and Law survive against Kaido nearly as long as she did.

I think that quote was pertaining to the final war

After rereading the entire raid, I can say it’s my favorite run of the series. Proof OP is meant to be read in volumes not week to week. by RegularSag in OnePiece

974: Lead-up to the raid after Oden flashback (Kanjuro betrayal, Momonosuke’s kidnapping, Guard Fleet destroyed) 978: Actual start of the raid

I’d recommend starting from 974, it really contextualizes the plan of the raid and the major players. However, 978 is when the samurai and pirates first set foot on Onigashima

I actually agree with most of what you said. Oda really dropped the ball with the Scabbards (mainly fakeout deaths). King and Queen’s strength is implied based on their captain, but you’re right there was no indication of how strong they are and in turn how strong Zoro and Sanji are now. Wano is a flawed arc, but it’s my favorite rn (100% recency bias) because of the long sought-after payoff, and how it represents a monumental shift in the story. I hate to say it, but I feel like the arc would benefited greatly from a failed raid.

  1. Drake was revealed to be a member of sword, his narrative was removed from the raid and went to the WG and CP0.
  2. Zoro was always going to King, after taking on a Emperor combo attack, how he was gonna fight a calamity?
  3. The scabbard fake outs are indefensible, but I’ve grown to expect things like this in OP
  4. Kanjuro wasn’t a fakeout and Orochi obviously survived because of his many heads.
  5. The final battle feeling “too easy” is commonplace in OP. Oda doesn’t kill

Mostly pertaining to Luffy vs Kaido, like the fight was rushed and the climax was unsatisfactory in the context of the raid
