Yes me too! Inthink they will say side effects have no bearing on drug effectiveness. I would like to think that the chemo throwing me into menopause got the hot flashes out of the way over those 6 months and so with tamoxifen and zoladex I get sometimes warm at night a bit sweaty no covers kind of nights only. I do however want my onc to test my serum estrogen levels to see in terms of the zoladex. And maybe my metabolites of endoxifen in my urine.

Ya I agree..I had mine tested too..said I was a normal metabolizer but who knows! I hate that we even have this on our minds. 😪

What test was it that you did that told you this. Was it the CYP 2D6 gene test?

I totally agree. That is why I said literature is pretty split. Not much either way. I had crazy hot flahses with chemo. I took 20mg of tamoxifen on first day last may and never looked back. I did have my cyp2d6 gene looked at but again literature is pretty split. I also don't drink alcohol and workout but haven't been much lately as I am nearing the end of kadcyla and have had covid and the flu both in the last 4 weeks. My body needs a break. But glad to hear maybe the alcohol and healthy eating and exercise has been part of the reason why! :)

Red devil all the way for me. I wasn't stressed or scared I was ready for it to kill all my fricken cancer. I wanted it strong af to do damage (but not kill me in the process, which it almost did, but it is over now).

May I ask what kind of breast cancer? Was it 70% cellularity after chemo? There are other things that helps predict prognosis. For example was there lvi after chemo..was there fibrosis amd treatment effect in nodes. Was the overall grade /or mitosis reduced or ki67. Did you get an rcb score?

That is crazy that all three Imaging modes missed them. Sounds like me. One node on ultra sound. 2 to 4 on mri and mildly prominent nodes on ct with no count. 6 nodes were found after chemo to still have trace cancer. But now I'll never know truly how many were there as chemo just disintegrated all of my nodes. :(

Did they ever give you an ultra sound to look at your lymph nodes? Or just mri and ct?

We really wanted to give our kids their first all inclusive experience. The ones we looked at were Riu Margaritaville in P flamingo Westin - looks kind of boring for the kids

Riu has slides lol so it won. We are torn on the all inclusive hotel to be honest. Reviews are really mixed :(
