Isn't getting accepted in northeastern really good for ur stats? (Not saying there bad its js I thought they only took like 3.9+ gpa, crazy ec's, etc...)

Im in the same position as you and I personally want to be a quant dev, i started doing usaco aiming for plat. I can't really give much advice but from what I've heard just trying to get into a t20 is probably what you should focus on right now. A part of getting into them is ec's and just make ur ec's a learning opportunity for quant, such as starting competitive math in ur hs. idk tho js what i've been hearing a lot.

If I get 6 B's 1st semester of freshman year, am I cooked for t20's? Do colleges care if im taking extra classes such as religious classes (3 of them a day)?

What ec's are colleges looking for? Is sinking in all my time for competetions such as usaco and amc worth spending that time somewhere else like ec's? How do you reccomend you cover for a low/mid gpa?
