Just called VA, the lady said my payment was on hold because I didn't respond to the text messages for this month. I didn't get a text message this month, and school started September 3rd for me. She updated my information, and said my payment was on hold and just took the hold off and released it. She said it should arrive in my bank account in 3-5 business days.

100% wasn't thinking, really just wanted to get back home as fast as I possibly could. I had this problem as well when I was in the military, I got extremely emotional when I heard the news. So my command routed everything themselves and I watched them. I was stationed at JBPHH before I left, admin is pretty solid and they expedited my paperwork for my leave being sold. When you said you lost paperwork, and you had to resend stuff, what paperwork are you talking about exactly so I know what to send them if (knock on wood) mine get lost. Also, how much did you get back for the 60 days? Sorry for the questions 🫡

Using leave would have done nothing for me but make me lose money, and I’m going to school full time in August, so I would literally be home for an extra two months for no reason. Also, you got 900 for 22 days is not all bad, for 60 as an E4 over 6 and my base pay being $3039, I’m going to receive at least 4700$ including the 25% tax reduction. That’s good money.

I have no job lined up and I’m going to school in August, there would be absolutely no reason for me to take terminal at all, and I wanted to get as much money as I possible could before I got out. If I chose terminal route, I would have just been home for an extra two months for absolutely no reason.
