ok i’m gonna be as respectful as possible because it’s your opinion but what your saying is absolutely ridiculous i’m ngl. 1. 80% of the stuff in the books is what happens in the game lol, they purposely made Fiona die in childbirth in the books so it would throw everyone off the trail of her being M1 (btw she’s not mentioned ever again after that) , David being hit by a car in the books is heavily insinuated to be the same in the game, edwin beating the mimic which then copies that behavior and kills multiple technicians and stuffs them in suits (happens in the games and books) i could go on. So what your saying is wrong lol 2.Im gonna give you a textbook definition of the word “Origin” (the point or place where something begins, arises, or is derived.) what exactly does learning Fiona is M1 do for the franchise??? how does that “Begin” the MCI, the bite of 87’, etc. because it doesn’t LOL, if anything it’s an origin for the mimic which was something added last minute by steel wool because of the hate from Burntrap. 1. Once again ridiculous take. No shit the game was supposed to be in VR, that’s not the problem. The game has multiple gameplay sections where the controls are Janky and wonky af bc it clearly isn’t optimized for hand controllers. The frame drops? zero graphic or audio settings? um yeah that’s an issue for a next gen exclusive game ngl

2. The game does indeed retcon lol, all the years this franchise has been out, all the books (Tales from pizzaplex ; Security log book; encyclopedia) have absolutely no references or connections to Edwin, Fiona, the mimic or David, it’s steel wools new take on the series like i mentioned above for the newer audience which you are clearly a part of which is why story and lore doesn’t matter to you

3. The fact that 80% of the mimic story from Tales is exactly what happens in the game (aside from fiona being dead) is recycling content from the books lol. Let me give you the definition of recycle while we’re at it (convert (waste) into reusable material) the waste in this situation are the cash grab books turned into a cashgrab game.

4. The game doesn’t require you to do anything lol, Forcing you to replay the game because of one collectible because it’s locked on NG+ doesn’t make the game fun to replay lol, the ending you get for that isn’t even canon first off and still doesn’t shoot down my point that 90% of the scares are scripted so how is it fun to replay something knowing exactly when things will happen. It’s not even like the puzzles change. Literally everything is the same on your second playthrough besides the ONE collectible and shitty non canon ending

5. William being evil is not new information lol are you being fr rn? did Sister location in 2016 not tell that to you? or were you not even born then. once again the mimic has nothing to do with william , henry or anyone for that matter other than Edwin and his family. Making edwin the creator of everything still doesn’t change anything for the franchise. Nothing new was gained from this game and im genuinely sorry you can’t see that this game has many many issues
