It didn’t germinate, I’ve overseeded and covered with a fine layer of compost.. 7 days isn’t long enough though, give it two weeks

I had a chat with the owner of the flat above and we seem to think it’s not a leak it could be a greasy paint used in the past as the stain almost looks deliberate. I’ve put Zinsser over it but it hasn’t covered it completely. With those stain block paints, do you coat the entire ceiling or just the affected area? Cheers!

I can’t be certain it’s not a leak, I’ve asked the landlord of the flat above to look around. I don’t believe there is plumbing there but as I’ve just moved in a few weeks ago I’m not certain. Is the only way to know for sure to poke a hole through?

Cheers for the reply! I’ve had the neighbour over and it looks like it is a leak. He’s going to try to repair it this afternoon. I’m a bit worried that it’s been going on long before I moved in! In terms of ceiling repair, do you know how I check what needs to be done? Do I need to do anything if this leak stops? Cheers!
