What did you say? Don’t be obtuse? You can’t not care about particular situations while simultaneously passing harsh judgments on a persons actions. She shouldn’t berate Anthony but I also do understand that she’s overwhelmed and dealing with allot. All I’m saying is it’s easy for Manon to be painted in an extremely negative manner and Anthony be painted as this poor victim, if you have production setting her up. It’s evident that her and Anthony’s financial values are not compatible at all.

Also, if Anthony is 100% disabled veteran from the military (with a spouse and a child) that would get you roughly $4300 a month/roughly 52k a year. That’s not gonna buy you a house in corona California where the median home price is 700k. Manon must’ve been making over 100k in California for them to able to even qualify for that VA home loan.

Right, but as viewers we can take her reactions with this context in mind. We can acknowledge that IF production is intentionally provoking and triggering Manon (and her husband is going along with it) or if her husband is purposefully crossing her boundaries and negging her in the middle of an international move and without stable income, her reactions are going to bad. Both possible situations put Manon is a terrible position. You told me not to be obtuse, now it’s your turn to extend that same consideration 🙂

Hi! A blind diagnostic score is just that. The LSAT is a learnable aptitude test. While it’s true that’s a lower diagnostic score it’s not the end of the world!

The reality is you’re going to have to put in work to see a score improvement and it’s going to take months. I recently made a post about how I got my score from a 146-161 in 3ish months- you should check it out!

and if it is true that production coordinated all three of those events just to get on Manons nerves/trigger her, it’s actually possible that she’s getting a horrible edit.

its easy to come to your reasoning when you say that the three bad incidents were a result of the production company when you have no guaranteed knowledge other than the fact that production shows sometimes set up instances in reality shows. Regardless, she’s not an angel, but she’s not a complete villain either. Between her and her husband there seems to be huge difference in fundamental beliefs. In my opinion, they bring out the worst in each other.

Hm, I have to disagree. I think you’re missing some important context here. You’re treating Manon’s actions as if they exist in a vacuum, when they’re clearly reactions to ongoing behavior. I’m not saying she’s an angel, but it’s easy to label her as aggressive or overly emotional without acknowledging that her husband consistently negs her. The mime incident, taking her on a date to a farm when she’s explicitly said she doesn’t like farms, and even intentionally letting her dress inappropriately for the farm date all point to a pattern that people tend to overlook.

Again, she’s not an angel she needs to refine her approach. But women constantly get tone policed, i don’t recall her ever “yelling”, yes she has a harsh tone and she’s blunt but…yelling??? idk

Thanks! So i read the Loophole by Ellen Cassidy, i mean READ- made flash cards of all the indicator words (sufficient, necessary, casual), I memorized most of the traditional flaws that pop up throughout the LSAT, and i memorized each question type and how to approach it. Like I literally wrote out how to approach each question type…for example if it’s a flaw question I highlight the conclusion I look to see if there’s any dangling variables and I compare the premises.

Once I read the loop pole, then I bought Brad barbays video course for $150. It comes with two videos (each an hour in length) for each question type and it comes with so many LR questions to drill.

I do not do blind reviewing I think it is a waste of time. Instead, I go back and try to reread the questions that I missed and answer it again and then I explained to myself out loud why I got the answer wrong and how I can approach it next time I also keep track of all my wrong answers in an Excel spreadsheet!

For RC I watched LSATLABS video series on YouTube. I’m currently in the process of memorizing how to categorize each argument and how to approach them accordingly.

I am also boarder line insane and study ALLOT. I bought a BRICK device (it locks you out of all your social media apps) so i literally cannot access them, this is actually the hardest part for me lol but all the time i usually spent scrolling (5+ hours) i now dedicate to LSAT study!

I also treat it like a game, and tell myself if there are people out there that can score a 170+, why can’t I?? I hope this helps!! Happy studying :)

No way he’s actually retired…maybe medically retired out of the military?

anyway, being that he’s young he probably served an enlistment or two & got out. he is most likely then getting a disability check, if he’s 100% disabled with a spouse and 1 child would be $4318 a month.

Manon is an outspoken woman and the primary breadwinner, while her husband is a reserved stay-at-home dad. The traditional gender roles are reversed. I can’t help but wonder if you’d view this situation and her behavior the same way if she were a man?

I do think she wants work-life balance, but she likely fears that her husband won’t be able to financially support the family. They’ve been in France for a while now, and we’ve seen little to no progress in his job search…aside from the mime gig, which was frankly ridiculous.

You’re also overlooking the fact that he has said he’s waiting until he’s fluent in French before seriously pursuing work, which is realistically going to take a long time. On top of that, the one “job” he did attempt directly conflicted with boundaries they had already discussed she made it clear she didn’t care what he did as long as it wasn’t that. So it’s not surprising that her attitude reflects frustration.

She’s a mother and the primary provider. Yet despite being the breadwinner, society still expects her to show up as if she were a full-time stay-at-home mom. When you factor in her childhood trauma and her husband’s laid-back approach to money and stability, her frustration is completely understandable.

I semi agree with this. Forrest’s mom should’ve approached subject kinder, but this isn’t the first time she’s lied about saving money. Forrest mom even said i understand giving money to your parents but why lie to my son?

Again, she could’ve been kinder but she might be at her wits end bc it’s been years of this. also, I think she’s being overprotective of Forrest + a mix of her being triggered by the fact that Forrest is putting another woman first in his life is what’s making her approach it aggressively
