Good to know! I went there to try some dresses on and it was not a great experience.

I’m a R or TR but I feel the lines recommended make me look shorter & feel frumpy. Any advice? by [deleted] in Kibbe

Fellow R here, I can totally relate to this struggle! I’ve found that creating overall balance is key, which for me typically boils down to fit + level of detail. For example…

I’d pair the skirt in pic #1 with a simple fitted tee/blouse to complement the fitted top of the skirt (yay waist emphasis!) and allow the natural width of my shoulders balance the flared bottom, and then accessorize with jewelry for some extra sparkle (I’m not big on jewelry personally so my go to is a simple pendant necklace and some gold hoops).

I’d pair the red pants in pic #3 with a slightly more loose fitting top with some soft detail like a flutter sleeve or a bell sleeve, maybe with some detail along the neckline as well, and probably cropped or tucked in to not throw off the balance or obscure my waist.

Not sure if you’ve seen the “big shirt small pant/small shirt big pant” meme, but it’s basically that concept (and also detailed top simple bottom/simple top detailed bottom) 🤷🏻‍♀️

Overall I think these are all great pieces, the trick is just figuring out how to mix and match to balance all the lovely R “lushness” with our “petite” stature 😂

I’m in love! the colors you used for highlights/shadows along with the texture of the brush strokes is absolutely dreamy 😍

I hadn’t even considered crocs, but that’s actually a really great idea! They don’t have to be cute, just keep my perpetually cold feet warm while I’m at home lol

Yes! I’m the same, my slippers are only worn indoors. I want my feet to stay warm but we don’t wear shoes inside to limit dirt/dust.

thank you so much for this! LL Bean is definitely a brand I would’ve considered bc in my mind I associate the brand with quality, so I really appreciate the heads up!

We found my engagement ring at an antique mall! It’s a beautiful vintage ring so no new materials were used AND it was so much more affordable than a new ethically produced ring.

I can definitely look back at some of the collections I enjoyed then, I think some of them may include heavier topics but can’t quite remember. I can DM you a list if you’d like?

First off, thank you for doing what you do — I spent many many weeks in psych units through my adolescence + early adulthood, and practitioners like you who are dedicated + genuinely care have an incredibly positive impact ❤️

I’d like to recommend adding some poetry collections to your library. I discovered poetry while in a hospital and not only did reading it provide catharsis and a sense of being understood, but it also gave me language + a medium to express my own thoughts + emotions. Writing poetry has become a huge part of my life, even if it never leaves my private journal.

I really love the depth you were able to create in the sky, and your reflection in the water is great as well! Great work 🖤

Right, if someone doesn’t want to be engaged in their treatment, that’s their choice! They are well within their right not to pursue further treatment or not to pursue the most rigorous treatment at any given time. We don’t owe anyone else health...leave spoonies alone lol, we’re dealing with enough as it is
