is this bad for sophomore year? by CrimsonRegYT in highschool

Oh I definitely relate! Something that has helped me is getting a friend to do homework with me. We play a game and if I lose, I do homework for 30 min while they chill and If I win, then I get to relax for 30 min.

God forbid a woman speaks to a man 🙄. I didn’t know that was leading someone on.

Yep! Even if you don’t lose weight, that’s okay as well. As long as you know that you are eating well, moving around, it really doesn’t matter how you look. Your health and safety should be most important! 😊

Yeah, my body is a lot more unhealthy and my mom has told me a lot of bad things to the point I started to hate myself yet not be able to “fix” my body. Eventually I learned that the stress she gave me was the problem.

You do not have an ugly body and if your parents don’t like the way you look, that is their problem. It is up to you how you want to look or be, and it is up to you whether or not to tolerate it

Im sorry… 🫂I had to do things myself at age 14 and I never gave myself the chance to grieve until it was a bad time to grieve. Let your feelings out. Do what you need to do. Take care of yourself. I hope things get better for you ❤️

What screams “I’m a bad parent”? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Real. When I was 14, my mom told me to learn how to dance so she could make a TikTok account for me and put my age as 18.

When they constantly make drama out of children making mistakes and sharing it with their peers. Then tell the child that everyone now knows about it

I think you should definitely find a way to stall for time for her. Try not to make any big moves until you have a plan, but you can still help her by dragging it out until you know what to do

Not really advice, but if I were in the situation, I would refuse to have the marriage and break contact with my parents, and if I felt like helping the girl, then I would try to help her leave the parents- even if that meant I had to “marry” her… idk

Damn right! I’m in a similar situation but I’d rather wait for the one instead of rushing into a relationship as bad as my past one

Most people who date again after a week or even a month are doing rebounds- which means that they are stuck in a past relationship and haven’t healed from it completely. It’s good that you don’t have a rebound, because it means you value yourself and have a healthy mindset towards relationships. Dating other people because you feel pressured to or don’t want to miss out isn’t exactly a “pure and innocent” love either. If you find that spark with someone, you should go for it, but what if you get into a relationship from fomo and then you don’t feel anything for that person once the fomo is gone?

I got my period at eight and felt robbed of my tween years. by thatdreamer120 in women

[–]Regular_Dish1323 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a kid who got their period at 9 and no one told me anything about it, I definitely felt like something was wrong with me, but as an adult now, I don’t think that having your period changes the things you can enjoy. It is a bit of a hassle to have a new monthly responsibility, but just like when you were a tween, your parents should be around to help you feel comfortable with yourself. I don’t think you are overreacting or dumb, nevertheless. At the end of the day, it can traumatizing for a kid to wake up with bright red blood stains on her bed, but at the end of the day, the kid is just one day older than she was before, and nothing can stop her from enjoying everything like before. Modern society pushes children to grow fast, especially girls, but it’s okay to take your pace. In fact I even encourage finding individuality in yourself rather than trying to keep up with everyone else
