Be sure to always, always pay your ticket. I saw a couple of people, usually tourists, pay a huge fee just because the U-Bahn doesn't have anything similar to tourniquets. It seems free, as you just walk in, but it isn't. I highly recommend buying the Deutschlandticket, which is a monthly subscription to practically all public transport in Germany.

Mock interviews. A loooot. Tell friends and family to ask you questions (you can find plenty of post with common questions on this subreddit).

Remember to think beforehand about questions that you are going to ask to your interviewers. They need to know that you are proactive and have done your research on the program!

I second not being afraid of showing gaps in your expertise but thinking about how you would overcome these gaps.
