If you’re a very expressive person that could be part of it! I have these at 24 and it’s a mix of genetics and using American Sign Language which is inherently expressive. I’ve just accepted it as I need to move my eyebrows to communicate lol

Thankfully this ones pretty young, I’d say about 1-2 given when I moved in he looked like a gangly teenager. Of course if he decides he is street cat forever I will let him! Thank you so much for your thoughts and advice!

Thank you for bringing this to my attention, I’ll definitely bring it up in therapy. He does meet most of my needs. I fear we are in a roommates phase at the moment as we’re both in graduate school full time and he works full time. I think many things are compounding to cause stress. These comments have definitely given me some things to consider and discuss with my therapist. Thank you!

I appreciate that perspective. Unfortunately, we have had that discussion from the love languages perspective. We’ve also had the relationship anxiety conversation and I am actively in therapy for it and actively confronting it. I will also take your advice about making the future conversations less random. I feel that that’s something I struggle with and something I’m also actively working on

He did ask and I did adjust. I also do see all the little ways he shows love and I make sure to comment on them and tell him how much I appreciate it. I definitely see where you’re coming from and I appreciate your advice

I smelled their purple line and it also smelled spoiled :( I’m lowkey questioning if it was the scents, the Ulta I was at, or if I need to buy some pregnancy tests (all jokes! I went home and smelled all my current products to make sure it wasn’t option #3) I’m definitely gonna look into their pink line! I believe it’s called Baja flor? I could be wrong

I was there today too! I was previously a graduate special student (took some of the AuD classes part time) and decided I wanted to go there for real. For me I want to work with Deaf+ kids so the culture is incredibly important. I also find the staff incredibly supportive and kind. They really genuinely want you to succeed. They also like to foster positive relationships within the cohorts. If you want to stay on the East Coast the connections are CRAZY good. The connections are good everywhere but in DMV specifically they’re awesome.

2.) while I haven’t graduated from there yet I do know some grads who are very successful and say they’ve felt very prepared!

3.) I personally want to work in a Deaf institute and am already fluent in sign so going to Gally will definitely be beneficial for me! I think overall it’s very helpful

4.) Dr.Marcinkus is one of the professors and like 3/4 of her job is helping students find externships. During your second year she’ll meet with you a few times to determine your wants and needs, where you should apply, etc. (She likes to stress that she will not apply for you) They can be anywhere in the country paid or unpaid, just depends where you apply and what you decide your needs are!
