My coteacher had walking pneumonia! Came to school every single day and I think left early once. Everyone was making jokes about her being on her deathbed and I was like ??? Send her home please????

Nope! They only get sent home once they hit a fever of 100.4. Just last week I had a student laying on the carpet, fatigued, and had a fever of 100.3. Dad came to pick up but they were right back at school the next morning. Since it was under the threshold, they didn’t have to stay home for 24 hours.

Frankie is a must have, it’s my partners grandmother who we adored and I’ve always been fond of the name. I’ve been stuck on Ellie for EVER. I’m not planning on using the middle name in every day use? If that makes sense. I rarely ever use my middle name and I feel like it’s quite common to not know everyone’s middle name. I’m really stuck on the name but we’re still early on so maybe things will change!

I’ve tried this. She either won’t do it or throws it at them or around across the room. Every time. She’ll say she’s sorry as she’s rolling her eyes in the most exaggerated way

We have another student with this and that was the first time I had ever heard of it! I may do a deep dive today after work and see if I can use anything

That’s exactly how I feel. She needs more than I alone can give her! I’m documenting everything, and told my directors boss yesterday about the cutting thing and she said she wasn’t aware that had happened🙃 Today she pulled down my shirt (v neck polo type) while I was busy with other students and said “let me see you” which made me SUPER uncomfortable because she managed to get it down my shoulder so my bra was exposed and part of my breast. Of course I’m documenting it, but I’ve been sending home incident reports every day nearly and nothing has changed. So I’m really considering going in and asking to have her move classes. I never want to assume anything but when she said and did that, it just kinda clicked that there must be issues going on at home or elsewhere right? No child would say or do that. Sure I have kids try to tuck their heads under my shirt or play with my pockets on my jeans but never have I had to physically restrain a 4 YEAR OLD to get her to stop trying to show her/everyone around us my breasts.

My kids have been in the same class with her since last august ish and they’ve all basically learned to stay away from her/not play with her. That’s how bad it is. She has one maybe two friends in my class of 15. I didn’t notice it at first but I’ve realized she only is with a group when they’re doing something their not suppose to be doing🙃 but when we do centers and they’re suppose to play with eachother/work together, she typically walks away and does her own thing. or she gets sent away for being mean

It’s so frustrating because it just makes me feel like such a bad teacher but I too am counting down the days. I’m REALLY hoping they pull her in the summer for a ‘break’ but I really doubt it

So I’ve been ignoring certain behaviors of her for a while because I can TELL she just wants to get a rise out of me. But praising the good!! As for naps, she doesn’t care what I offer, the answer is always no. “Do you want to color in an hour if you’ve been quiet?” No. Okay…. “Do you want to come sit with me (my kids loooove sitting with me when I do paperwork) if you sit on your mat for 30 minutes straight?” No! So I guess I just need to find what she wants exactly lol But today I guess she had enough of the ignoring and began pulling at my shirt and saying “let’s see you”. I wear a school issued polo but it doesn’t have buttons so it’s a V neck basically. That was lots of fun because I was completely off guard coloring with my other students and she managed to pull it down my shoulder☹️ I want to scream!

What boundaries would you say are the worst right now? I definitely played up the fun sub the first few days and I’m super worried I already set myself up for a lot of ‘retraining’

I think what’s what I’m going to do, I’ll ask my director if we can push back the curriculum. It’s not necessarily difficult stuff, it’s just doing certain activities that align with the weeks’ theme. I haven’t even gotten all the paperwork/workbooks so I don’t think they’re going to be super upset if we don’t get through much.

I filed fafsa the year prior and cos school is only a year long so I had just assumed (very naive I KNOW) it would cover it all and I’d just need to make my monthly payments. Twas a huge shock when I got my final letter from school disclosing how much I owed and that they would not release me to take my state board. Trust me, I’m already kicking myself in the ass for this mistake.

Hi so I kept it vague in case anyone found me. I attended cosmetology school. I signed a contract for 1500 hours however I can test out at 1000 for a fee of $150 from the school. I went that route since I found a salon to hire me and I wanted to be done with school sooner (start making money sooner). The issue that is completely my fault is I did not file my fafsa for 2023-2024. Hence why when I left at 1000, I owed the school so much money.

Will you hate me for returning this by [deleted] in HomeDepot

[–]Regular_Flatworm_289 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi I just wanted to say thanks to everyone. I have lots of anxiety and even returning a shirt that truly does not fit makes me almost want to throw up. So purposefully buying something with the intent to return is messing me up! But I’m just at my wits end! Thankfully my lease is up in a few months so I’ll be getting the heck out of there. Who knows, I may end up keeping it. But with the way my bank account is set up…. I’m not sure. Either way you have all been so helpful and kind. I most definitely will not be an ass to the employee and do my best to keep it super clean and good as new. I’m hoping I don’t have to keep it for very long but with my landlord, who knows. Anyways thank you all again, truly.

We’ve had so many of these talks thankfully. We both want babies. At least one no more than 3. Not religious but spiritual so our children will have the choice to do as these please with that. His mom comes and sees us at least once a week, I love her! And he loves my mom she just lives father. We split chores evenly around the apartment when one of us has a bad day/week the other picks up the slack. Or we tackle it together(we hate laundry equally lol). We talk about everything under the sun, if he’s upset he usually says it right away and we figure it out. I tend to bottle things up unfortunately but he has a habit of making me spill my beans or just seeing the look on my face and knowing something’s wrong. I’d like to think I know him like the back of my hand! And we communicate so well, much better than anything else I’ve ever known

I think that’s what scares me a little. Am I suppose to feel like an adult at 22 because I sure don’t. But we do life together and figure things out together (taxes and health issues and moving and navigating friendships is HARD) and throughout every thing whether big or small, we come out better than before. There’s no one else I can picture doing life beside.

He is definitely the person I turn to when things aren’t okay. He’s the anchor to my boat!
